Another splendid year for the Thieves

Well done Lads we didnt quite pull it off but not for lack of effort
Some great timely winners along the way kept the Pins sharp
They had some storming weeks and we just couldnt reel them in Happy
Many thanks to our newcomers Ricky, Werbie & Motseel  and old boy Petemac
your contributions were much appreciated Love
Its a difficult comp over 7 months requires a deal of committment
and I know personal circumstances can vary greatly over that time
to say we only used 2 wildcards in all that time shows real dedication

Its been a pleasure to have you all on board
enjoy your future punting guys Wink

I will probably drop into the topic as usual feel free to use it whenever you wish
off for a holiday next week away for a while to see my far away family Cool

Hi Stew
yes taking a 6 months break from the leagues.(sick of the sight of Salmon)DevilLaugh
How did your family visit to Tailand go. My son and his wife are going there for a 2 week holiday on Thursday.
I Will give you the first 4 home in the Grand National by Friday so far I have managed to reduce the first 10 on the card down to 3 but agree with bookies prices on the chances of winning so unlikely to be punting any of these 3 unless of course I cant find out else. You have opted to go for one of them Rocky Creek 5th last year a couple of pounds better off this year and still plenty of improvement in him as lightly raced and in form going into the race and the trainer seems to find improvement in most his horses. but 8/1 to 10/1 reflects his chances.
By:

When: 07 Apr 15 22:58
Pete
I am a little worried the race has now changed so much with fence modifications
moderate jumpers can make numerous mistakes and still be in with a chance
too many light weights running well,
staying really well at pace (not just plodding on) is even more the key than ever

where is your son going Pattaya or Phuket  or elsewhere
have they been before ?

saw some horrific driving - Again !!
you have to cringe at the bright white painting of body outlines on the the road
with any accidents that should be a reminder but it isnt

Whatever they do dont pay for any colonic irrigation
just use the bidet guns - but with great care
you wont find them on the travel insurance cover CryCry

mi pet means NO spice
can come in handy if you need a day off Laugh

Finished my National Study and managed to get it down to 4.
Balthazar King 10/1 great form last two seasons and even better after a break (not run since November 2nd) runner up last year and has major chance.
Monbeg Dude 40/1 despite blundering at bechers and the canal turn on 2nd circuit last year still managed to finish 7th now 2 lb better off this year and booking of Grand National winning Jockey Liam Treadwell (Mon Mome)interesting at a good e/w price.
Godsmejudge 22/1 staying on runner up off this mark in Scottish Grand National last year after 2 pulled up races so wouldn't be put off by recent runs (one over hurdles) good chance but at 22/1 value has slipped a little.
Royale Knight 33/1  bottom weight and a proven stayer at 4m plus and will like the going, won both scottish borders national at Kelso and the Durham national at Sedgfield makes plenty of appeal to me at good e/w odds.
Remember e/w first 5 with most bookies now and other great offers to be found so take care looking around.
Good Luck fellow thieves.

Well I will stick to my first thoughts
I must say Al Co & Pineau De Re do look to be overpriced
Fav looks too short so
I have backed  Spes Nostra 10/1 3.15
looks better value than Larrys Shuthatdoor

best of luck guys

Pete
Krabi area is probably the best of the touriste spots
though not been back there since Tsunami
plenty of pics for you when he gets back
hope he remembers waterproof sun cream

Well done picking Many Clouds Stew, hope you had a few bob on?
The best of mine was £15 e/w on Monbeg Dude at 50/1 though the wife is claiming a fiver e/w of that even though I can't remember telling her I had backed it for herLaugh, it ran a great race and the jockey Liam Treadwell was superb the way he avoided a couple of dangerous situations. (I congratulated him today at Market Rasen on a great ride and in my opinion an even better ride than the winners if you watch the race again though that doesn't seem to make sense)
Wish I had gone e/w 1st 6 at 25/1 instead of e/w first 5 at 33/1 with my biggest stake Royal Knight. Never mind I can't grumble I came out with a profit and managed to leave Market Rasen today after the 5th race with a profit.(quite cold windy day there but the Hog Roast Baguette washed down with a glass of red helped)
HKF that horse you give me yesterday at Newcastle despite being supported 20/1 to 12/1 ran a bit suspicious.I know the jockey had it in an impossible position but never once tried to find a way through and never once rode it and it looked to me like it had plenty of engine there so may be worth looking at next race.
What did you think?
By:
hong kong fooey
When: 12 Apr 15 20:15
My thoughts exactly Pete .Must have something
in mind for it.One other thing,it wore a tongue tie
in every race 2013-2014 but not yesterday.
Maybe a ready excuse if it trots up next time Wink
