Russ Reeve has been crowned the Overall All-Weather Championships Tipping Game Champion and won the top prize of £10,000 cash. Russ found 50 winners (including ones at 100/1, 66/1, 50/1, 40/1, 33/1 & five at 25/1) to end on an amazing final profit of £217.69 to a £1 stake on all his tips over the course of the All-Weather season. Russ finished over £75 clear of the chasing pack, which was headed by Nick Csillag, who won a Pair of ARC annual badges & box at an ARC meeting, for finishing 2nd Overall after finding 69 winners and ending on a profit of £142.30. Donie Brophy finished less than £7.00 back in 3rd, having found 77 winners and ended on a profit in excess of £135, to win a £500 Free Bet. Mark Stocker, who found 119 winners, took 4th place and won a £500 Free Bet. Paul Gaston picked out an amazing 209 winners and missed out on 4th spot by less than £3.00, but still took down a deserved £300 Free Bet for taking 5th, as did Bertram Jupe, who was a late starter but made up for lost time to move up to 6th place by Good Friday. Adrian Woodhouse and Neil Cunningham both found over 100 winners in the competition and were split by less than 50p, with the reward of a £200 Free Bet to finish 7th & 8th. Paul Powley bagged 134 winners to finish 9th, just ahead of Eileen Webb in 10th, with both taking a £100 Free Bet. Kenneth Boxall, David Spencer, Terry Ling & Neil Tomkinson, Leslie Boulton, Nicola Kettle & Janet Redmond all ended on very impressive profits, and missed out on the top 10 by less than £10 while Dolly Jones, who had been in the top 3 for much of the competition but still ended in top 20 on a healthy profit. All-Weather Course Champions Roy Bowers is crowned Course Champion at Kempton, proving himself a true course specialist with 42 winners and a level stakes profit of over £120 since the start of the All-Weather Championships. Jullian Perriam found the most winners at the track with a win ratio of 28% but unfortunately could not find the profit to match. Adrian Woodhouse found the winners enclosure at Southwell, clinching the top prize with a profit of over £130 from his selections on the Fibresand, just ahead of Russ Reeve, who missed out on the top spot by a mere 5p with his selections at the track. Stephen Chambers holds on for glory at Britain’s newest track, Chelmsford City, having found 31 winners with a 33% strike rate, racking up profits of over £55 to a £1 stake. Carl Hare chalked up the most winners on the track with an impressive strike rate to boot, however he couldn’t match the leader when it came down to profit. Bertram Jupe ended on a profit of £105.50 with his tips at Lingfield and just edged out Andrew McNamee by less than £2.00 in 2nd. Gary McIvor deserves a mention for a fine tipping performance at Lingfield, with 103 winners from 290 selections (37% strike rate) and a profit of almost £40. Paul Powley finished on an amazing profit of £174.75 with his selections at Wolverhampton to take the title of Top Tipster at Dunstall Park. Thomas Fullerton finished 2nd, on an incredible 111 winners found, 30% tip success rate and a profit of almost £160. Daniel Westwood found the most winners of any tipster at Wolverhampton, with 126. Each of our Course Champions have won a Pair of ARC Annual Badges for being the most profitable tipsters at their respective All-Weather tracks, entitling them to unlimited entrance to 15 UK courses. Good Friday Spot Prize Game It was an exciting Finals Day at Lingfield for the All Weather Tipping Championships on Good Friday, where Susan Inglis & David Merriman, each found 5 of the 7 winners to finish on same profit of £33.70 in joint first, but it was Susan Inglis who took the £1,000 Cash prize on countback, thanks to tipping up the 3rd, Don’t Be in the opener. Robert Russell was the only other tipster to find 5 winners on the Finals Day, while Peter Dudley Allam & M Hodder both also deserve a mention for posting big profits and only just miss out the £1,000 Cash prize. |
