Wow! A great month has a terrific finish. Our man with the Schweppes bottle had made an amazing surge in the last few days to snatch pole position from MisterBadger. But our brocky's no fool ... indeed, he's one of the best napsters around. He proved it today by snatching Keychain  out of the hat at 13/2 to jump back into the lead ... by just 33p! Talk about narrow margins.

What a great effort from a worthy champion. Badger didn't win often, but won well, including strikes at 16/1, 11/1 and 8/1. And what a superlative way to end a campaign - a last day title-snatcher after 10 winless days! Brilliant job!

But hard luck to a terrific competitor, who helped make this one of the most invigorating title races in memory. Sadly theres only one best tonic ran out of fizz in the last couple of furlongs. But there's no dishnonour in that. There is a great deal of honour in notching 11 winners, five of them in a seven-day spell and another four in a six-day stretch. They're gonna love you (or is that hate? ) up above. I must say I will really miss you two guys.

Not that I'm not going to miss the other five who are entering the portal of greatness. Our resident four-legged artist SirRembrandt was our only other winner today with Creepy  at 6/4 that snatched third place. There's nothing creepy about his 43% strike rate though, highest of the month!

Mind you lead on and Pre-Fat-Low-Fat-Foods weren't far behind in the strike rate stakes at 38% and 40%. The foody one's total includeed a great 16/1 strike! Well done guys.

And well done to our resident singing snake elvissss, whose nag today was Take A Bow.  It didn't, but he should with a singular effort. And a final well done to sonofshinner, one of of my tips for the top, who sneaked into the second extra promo place with a late flourish and a 41% strike rate!

Biggest hard luck story of the day was Winkaw - remember the man who started off propping up the division? He missed out on a 25/1 humdinger by just over a couple of lengths. Hard luck winky, but that's racing ... and the naps comp ... for you!

And a final note of extreme gratitude for all who took part this month, whether you just missed out or ended up taking home a wooden spoon. You all played your part in making this an extremely competitive division. And, of course, many thanks for all your messages.
