Bit longer than I like but I have gone for Snoano e/w 3.15 Doncaster. Res Tarvini 4.15 Aintree.
Not sure where you stand with reserves if you are picking before 3.00 like hh tbh. Don't like this rule at all. |

the rule is there because of the 3pm cut off point for selections, as you know. Sometimes a horse can be withdrawn after 3pm. If a horse selected is running before 3pm then technically, the selector can put in a substitute before 3pm, or if he doesn't a wildcard can be put in by another member of the team. I hope that suitably explains/or confuses you. I'd prefer to post selections right up to the off, but adhere to the rule of posting at least one hour before the horse runs. Rules is rules whether we love 'em or not. |

DeSSie I am not being cantankerous. I have a view on this rule which ud himself is not sure about. IF the 3.00PM cut-off is only about tactical selection then I think it should go but I rather thought it was to save ud a lot of work,in which case I think it has to be supported. Personally I have so far picked before Sat and tbh meant to this week but forgot. Careful the Fat Wayne is a useless overpaid **** thread is getting nearer  |

you think its fair that someone who picks a horse in the 5.50 wolv loses his selection if it becomes a non runner?

Not really. I get the 3.00 rule but half my team don't seem to. I am myself unclear about what happens if you pick one at 2.30,you might be right about putting a reserve up if you want but how far back does that go. If you pick on Thurs do you put up a reserveif you want ? If not and the 2.30 one is a n/r it is quite likely the OP is not around ( shearer for example is often at some footie match )or has something better ( pun intended ) to do than post on here. Which means the capt,who admittedly has OCD syndrome,is perpetually checking this(or Lampus is if I'm not here ).

I THINK we just have twm to post and he is alive and well. shearer and I have picked after 3.00 but we've both put up reserves. Lampus and hh have picked before 3.00 and haven't. I thought that was correct but the all-knowing DeSSie says otherwise. I presume Lampus is around if his happens to be a n/r. Not sure about hh. I'll keep one eye on that. |

Well that wasn't very good
 However thanks to shearer we finished 4th in this round which is where we were at the start of the day. Overall we are 3rd equal which is exactly middling  |
