Last month was a truly miserable one for onehundredandeighty in which he ended up bearing the weight of the div on his shoulders,. Looks like this month is gonna be a little bit different after his great opener. Galley Slave  came home at a rockabulous 11/1 to put him straight to the top of the tree. What a great way to start the month, for him and for the div. Shupa!

In fact a nice crop of winners to start, featuring no less than three of our exciting new intake. Smiley_Jack notched a very handy 7/2 to hit second, Baker Boy 6/4 to lie in fourth and custardcream64 ... well okay, it was only 10p, which we usually only allow the boys in the Prem to do (as they do it so well - and so often!) but a win's a win and he's in 11th.

pedro39 sits in third with a 2/1, Value Seeker had a nifty 6/4 to take joint fourth, DAN1974 and youresomean, slightly unlucky not to go up last month, took home 11/8, and three others rounded off the day with the same odds-on.

Good start chaps and chapesses. And a big hello to all for the new month, names we know well coming down from above, some new and not so new names joining us  from the frozen wastes outside the naps comp. I think Kenny's going to give me a bit of a problem, what with Betfair not liking his monicker a whole lot. But actually the four stars give him a certain elan so maybe I'll stick with them. Four-star Kenny! Has a certain ring!

Also great to see angeleyz back with us after her wanderings. Don't suppose it'll be too long before she's off upstairs. though. Ships that pass in the night. Nor do I expect de44ek4 to hang around too long, another seasoned campaigner from days of yore. This looks like being a great month!

Best of luck Wednesday folks. At least there's no footie to get in the way. The combination of that and late racing is killing me!
