My apologies for putting you through such apostrophic hell! Although operator incompetence (ie moi) is clearly a strong factor here,   the problem with apostrophes is one Network Rail might recognise. Some of you are using the wrong kind of apostrophe - stealthgun for instance. shane's been doing it for years!

In fact, what you guys are using is, I believe, an acute, as used in froggy france. It has an ascii code (look it up) of 180, making it part of the 'extended' character set. The standard computer apostrophe is code 39, which is part of the regular ascii set of printing characters. The confusion is exemplified by the fact that Racing Post and Sporting Life use different apostrophes in their names.

Anyway, you will undoubtedly be thrilled to learn that a new version of 'Auto Settler' is due out soon where this problem is eradicated. You can have any apostrophe you want. In the meantime, if you think you have a dodgy pos, take it out and shane's thingummy will work fine!
