Time to do away with this n/r bollux imo Shane and before certain posters spout up and say they are at a disadvantage  by posting the night before -well hardly judging by the shortest price selection available always being put up(by many) whereby a nr is almost as good as a 1/10 winner -its a joke and we are a laughing stock as highlighted by our thread on horseracing  thats attracted so much attention -dont get me wrong cos the instigator is on a mission himself -alright Eddy but many valid points have been raised as no one comes back on and re selects due to a n/r-/abandonment even though they are around all day (and dont give me that yearly positions bollux neither lol)
How is it fair that someone who posts a min late and doesnt realise it gets penalised a point and yet someone who posts the night before is on a n/r -time to make n/rs-abandonments automatically going onto lrfs imo so lets have a vote cos im sure that you would soon find the ones that cant re-post suddenly can lol -meanwhile lets all keep picking shorties and throw a dart on the last day

Where do I start?

Firstly, from a personal point of view I do wish the average price of selections were a little higher in the premier, though selecting shorties doesn`t bother me.

It`s been mentioned a few times before and we`ve had long running debates in the past, let me tell you this much, only a few were unhappy with the current situation/rules out of how many? 120? It would take a whole lot more to be in agreement for any major rule change. Yes, we all know what happens in the premier, strategy plays a huge part in more than one way.

The instructions ie last race fav and invalid selection etc is a tough one, it is indeed almost a balancing act.
You could make a case for someone who posts a minute or two late to either go onto lrf or n/r rather than lose £1 if they fail to re-post. If anyone has any good ideas, shout out.

The premier is a completely different animal to say div 3, I don`t have to spell out why. That`s always going to be the case as I have noticed over the years even as the names who compete change.

I have had a really Shi* 24 hrs.
Backed Man Utd Last night (sorry HKF I tried)then layed the draw at half time
I have had a cluster of severe Migraine attacks (1st for a year).
2 big bets today ran like they had been shot.
My Dear old Auntie has just been taken into Hospital with a stroke.
My Nightmare of a brother is threatening to take his life again (Gambling machines in betting shop ) Sh*t for brains.
Then on my way home from work just had my drivers mirror wiped out by some Blonde who for some strange reason decided to drive on my side of the road head on and she never even stopped. (rang coppers said nothing they can do as I never got her Reg) Set me back £200 I reckon (the Bitch)
I think I will go to bed.

The 1-hour rule is there for a reason and if someone can't be rsed to check the time or doesn't know how to (?) then that's tough on them, pure and simple. I notice a couple of guys today and yesterday in the divs posted, realised it was late and reposted. I think most people grasp the rule pretty firmly. Letting things slide by a min or two is unfair on others and all it effectively does is say that the rule is for 58 mins rather than an hour. You have to have strict a deadline somewhere or it'll end in tears.

The one thing that does bother me though is LRFs, or instructions as were. They are a lottery and really should have no place in a competition supposed to be based on skill. I'd rather do away with them and just have 10 lieu days a month when you are not penalised. Okay, on your hols, you are probably not going to win, but at least you dont slide down the table.

... well not hugely anyway.

Gents I think we should completely do away with LRF's. If people are serious about the competition they'll find a way to post even in adverse circumstances - i.e. either by way of a mate posting for them or via their phone, ipad, laptop etc etc if they are away from home.

yup, soldier's sayin wot I'm thinking. How to be more specific pete? It's simply really. Everyone gets 10 free days a month when they dont lose a point if they dont post (maybe, if they want, include time errors in that but still max of 10) plus Sundays of course. Or go one further, scrap the optional Sunday routine and just have 14 free days a month.

No pete, I was for them as a replacement for instructions, which were a pain. And if they are the rules, then I stand behind them full square. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see them changed. Now, where's me watch?

Agree entirely , I hate LRF as well and would just make a non-post settled as a non-runner until your 10 days are up.

Would also make settling easier as you could settle the table an hour earlier , providing their are no naps in the last couple of races.

I agree with you Reg except 14 is too many the 10 should include Sunday and be a maximum.

I was living in The Yorkshire Dales and suffered
Terribly from no connection -- you lucky people
Living in big cuties with 100% broadband or mobile
Connection ( yes mobile is dodgy in The Dales too)
So i know the LRF was a good back up ..
That said -- i think it should be half the odds -
with a max of  6/4 settled.,
Nice and easy and no 9/2 LRF favs counting -
Which is bludy annoying...

The idea that most people can access the internet through these mobile thingies is of course ageist. I have a mobile but I have no idea how to text and I only use it for emergencies.
