A damp squib finish to what has been an incredible month. Just the one winner, josh monk with 11/2 on King Of The Wolds, which unfortunately for him wasn't enough to sneak into the places.
So a big well done to that great naps comp trooper top2rated, who snatched the championship on the penultimate day and hung onto it grimly. As I said yesterday, just a 19% strike rate but what strikes: 8/1, 9/1, 15/2, 8/1, 10/1, 8/1. Superb. Wish I could boast numbers like that! He is a most worthy winner of the title and I'm sure he'll give 'em hell up above.
But great also to see petemac going up. I shall be sorry to lose him but what a performance after previously giving us no sign of his napping prowess. dukeofpuke aside (we all know how he came by that 80% strike rate), pete scored the second highest hits in the table, including a 12/1 and 10/1. A sterling performance and I look forward to seeing him joining the 'gods' of odds-on napping! Best of luck.
And very good luck to to the four others who smell the rarified air of Div 2 (well, maybe not THAT rarified!): Following The Herd, betme, One Shot 2 Shot, duffy. What terrific competitors they were, setting an exceedingly high barrier for promotion. It's not often you have to top £14 to go upstairs! I hope they prosper among the 'nobs' as well.
But spare a thought for all the other troopers who toiled through the month. They help make it the healthy competition it is and I thank them all for their efforts. Yes, even good old pumphol, who had a totally fruitless month but gamely chugged on to the end. Don't be deceived: on his day pumph is a mean napster and has tasted the delights up above. I'm sure he'll do it again ere long if he keeps up the good fight.
And, of course, thanks to MoMM for standing in for me for much of this month, and to you for all your messages. Much appreciated.

Okay, a big apology to duffy ... I erred. Kept thinking pauli was in Div 1 but he's in div 2 so I'm afraid you don't go up after all. Sorry if I falsely raised your hopes. I'm a numpty (nap) 
Jeez, this gets more complicated by the minute ... its like doing the hokey cokey. This isn't settled yet!
