Top two from each group go through at the end of this stage, then we hold another draw, 32 players into 8 groups.

I'll put up the first week thread on Sunday, obviously the top two matches in each group are the ones scheduled for that first week.

It should be interesting tactically cas, I'm thinking I may play the waiting game unless I see a real standout good thing at odds against but we shall see. I reckon most of the matches will be won by those who play late.

I've just had another skim through the rules Shane, from what I can gather you have to try and find the shortest priced runner of the day before your opponent. |

Undecided ..? re the comp . each group play the other guys in that group 3 times can we /i put up one nap any day and win or lose that stands eg . i put up micky mouse it wins at 15/2 thats my final score its up to the other 3 to beat 15/2

zipper - its match play. You try to pick a bigger priced winner than your opponent in each of your 3 matches.

zipper, as bettysboy says, you are playing one match per week next three weeks. Your main aim is to beat your opponent by whatever means you see best, for which you'd get 2pts. However there is a bonus pt for getting a winner above Evens, and 1 bonus pt for the best winner in the whole group stage.

Hi duffy, I'll be posting the group updates regularly, so the match details will be at the head of each thread and throughout, I don't think it will be necessary.
