It's a shame to see someone miss out on promotion with a big number on the final day. Last month it was Monte Christo with a 25/1 stunner - but at least he's made up for it this month. And this time it's One Shot 2 Shot with a superbulous 20/1 winner in Ansgar.  It shot him up 26 places, but left him five short of the gates of heaven. Great nap shotster, hard luck on missing out. Next month maybe? It's actually the joint top nap of the month, lagmorian and Monte bagging the same price on the same day at the start of the month.

Other than that today was  a day of missed opportunities, for instance Monte missing out on the championship by a couple of lengths or so. But our only other winner was eccentric, with an 11/8 job that inched him above Nijinsky into fifth.

So the big bananas go to john.t, sadly absent today - a clear sign of confidence! He notched 13 winners, two at 5/1 and one at 4/1.  It was just enough for victory by a couple of quid. Very well done the five runners-up who ascend to Div 2. Sorry Nijinsky, your son jammed a last-gasp 10/1 winner to avoid the drop and join you next month! We'll miss you guys but the very best of luck!

Hard luck all the others. You gave it your best shot and that's all that can be asked. I hope you all rejoin us in July for another napping roller-coaster. And many thanks for all your messages.

Well done john.t, fellow promotees & everyone who lasted the pace even when things were not going well.

Reged, I really enjoy your last day updates and your everyday running of the comp is second to none, but I hope you're not offended if I try and keep away for a bit.

Thanks for the hard work and humour Reged ......Ive been involved for just the 5 months ...but Ive yet to spend two consecutive months in the same division ...3rd , 2nd, 1st , back to 2nd , back to 3rd , now back to 2nd ........all good fun though , thanks again
