Monte Christo took the napping honours today, breaking an eight-day losing streak to jump three places to the top, courtesy of three squidlies won on Modista.
He leads on goal difference, or rather the fact that he is an LRF-free zone. It's nice to see three bunched together on the £16 mark. Could be some fun ahead. 
All a bit muted besides that - what kind of way is that to welcome your injured settler back to the fray eh?
- but good to see pauli and buffythebookieslayer get back to winning ways in mid-table.
Nice also to see two building up a nice streak of winners, albeit with a 1/5 winner today (I get lampooned sommat rotten when I try anythin like that!
) - dukeofpuke and chavman are both now five from the last six. Thoopa!
And a thumbs up to the plucky but unluckyStu, who has wrenched himself off the bottom - only one place mind but, what is it the Tesco ad says? Actually I think he was a tad lucky today because Toronado might well have had the better of Dawn Approach had everyone not decided to play dodgems!

Disagree with you and a couple of others on Tornado Reg I thought Dawn Approach came out worse and despite pulling early on and actually being passed, still won going best at the line.I know who my money would be on in a re-match.
Will have a bash at the Royal Hunt Cup tomorrow I have got no other option really, might as well be at the bottom than mid table.

I'm in hobbling mode now pete but can't kick the cat yet, which is no problem cos I haven't got one.
To me, Toronado was pushed way further out of line than DA, just at the moment it was starting to strike. I think DA got off lightly by comparison. But there you are, itz all opinyuns innit?

TBH I'm surprised you havent chewed me up for my 40p triumph today! Is this you showing sympathy for an injured parking attendant? Down where I am its more like £1.40. Desperate times - desperate measures etc. You can expect more!
At least you got your injury while enjoying life to the full not like that wimp from Sheffield (tripping up while carrying his toffee yoghurts)I wouldn't dare tell anyone I would have fabricated a lie to save my face.

Reg Thursday 27th will be my last post after that i will be resigning (that will apply even if in the unlikely event i won promotion).
I am sure that will please a few of you.
Reasons being i am away in Ireland on the black stuff for 6 days from next Thursday and away in Cyprus for 15 days during July and now my broken PC on top of that as made my mind up.
I would like to thank yourself Reg, Shane and all the settlers for their total commitment in running a first class Leagues Comp (God we have had some laughs and you never stop learning in this game) I am amazed the amount of punters we have how clean and sporting all the banter is.
Apologies if i have ever offended anyone it would not have been my intention, of that you can be sure.
It is my intention to return maybe 1st Sept or 1st Oct (when the jumps kick in)

Pete, I can't think of anyone it will please. Your contribution to these threads has been immense and yes, we certainly have had some laughs. Make sure you do come back in Sept
Yeh when Shane said enjoy your break or two it reminded me of you two last week.
Got one forecast all night but a good payout, ended level.
