How many you got Reg?

Are you still ok with having a high number? Was last month around 40?

I reckon at the mo its 50 ... tho I reckon some from last month prob wont be back. But is there any procedure for adding a div or would we have to sort one out? I do have some ideas. I think Div 3 is a bit unwieldy and it must be a bit depressing for those towards the bottom end! Dont want to p them off, not even pete!

My basic thought was to call it the Academy, and dont bother with LRFs - if you dont post its -1 except sundays. After all, a lot of its purpose would be to weed out the people who dont go the distance. And maybe even a limited transfer - two to Div 3 plus replace retirees? Or even just replace retirees. As I say, just a thought

Reg, as mentioned above the only problem I could see was securing another settler, are you saying you`d be ok with it?

If so, lets go for it. If the numbers dropped we could always revert back to four divisions.

I`d say begin in 1st June, gives yourself and other time to think, also we`ve the extra promotion places at the end of May and June, resulting in the premier increasing from 25 to 28.

There are numbers to decide upon as you said for div 3, promotion/relegation places available every month. The idea re no LRF sounds good and the reasoning.You could say decide on 30 for div 3, so all those below 30th at the end of May will form the new division.

It`s up to you Reg, we could ask for another settler?

It won,t effect me as i am going to win Div 3 in a canter.
To a more serious point, is it time consuming for settlers adding up the percentages because these are meaningless IMO Take Soldier(i wish someone would) even with his strike rate of 62% he managed to show a loss and compare him with Caulkys 19% and smashing profit.
In any aspect of betting it is the profit/loss that matters nothing else. Maybe a few opinions by others on this.

Just a few points

1) Before creating another div I would wait to see what happens to the forum. There have been no new people admitted for nearly 9 months. We must be a shrinking pool

2) How many you get in the bottom Div depends on how much and how effectively you advertise it on HR. When Mark Sloan was running it he never bothered and the numbers went down to around 15. I tried occasionally and I once managed to get it up to 50ish but I got the impression that Mark was none too pleased so I left it. Reg has done a good job the last couple of months but I would think it will be diminishing returns in future

3) I doubt people will flock to a league which is called The Academy and is run on different lines to the main comp. Looks a bit patronising.
