Not missed a day at the Festival since I watched Burrough Hill Lad win the 1984 Gold Cup from the car park. Helps that my Mum lives there so no problem with anywhere to stay.
I think some of the excitement has been diluted with the additional races (27 raes now, were 18 when I first started going). |
