mini me retakes the lead, and learning thegame found a nice 9/2 shot to get back on the podium again.

Two days to go and the battle for promotion, and indeed for the title, is the tightest I've seen it in Div2 since I started doing the settling. None of the Top 5 has any reason to feel secure about promotion, and loads of players in the chasing pack have every reason to feel optimistic about their chances.

Down at the other end sixtwosix made his task of escaping slightly easier, while the other 4 below him sank deeper into the mire.

grey shark and petemac both deserve a mention for close calls. grey shark's 20/1 2nd of 3 runners only beaten by 3 lengths by the odds-on jolly. And petemac's replacement for a non-runner came 2nd at 10/1. Unlucky both.


So . . .

penultimate day is a Sunday and there's a lot at stake. What do you do? Sit back and do nothing in the hope that one or two above you slip up and lose places? Or try to improve your standing for the final day's onslaught? It's a tricky one.
