It`s an option zipper. Only problem is not everyone has internet access all morning/day. The change in my personel circumstances could make it difficult for me to continue settling.

It makes it easier zips yes. So does winter racing with early start times and finishes.

Shane  get  your point  but it would be   less hassle all round for you guys  who run the comps
and we could see the best of the best all divs  before  the first race  in all divs   there  are nappsters who  are very  very good  we could all win its a win win  for me  .

I don't know what your problem is zipper.

I can't see where there's any time-saving from the settler's point of view other than no longer having to make sure the 1-hr Rule hasn't been broken. There's no updating to be done. By the time I come to enter the selections on the spreadsheet, most if not all the selections have already been posted so it makes no difference to me what time they're posted.

Or am I missing something? Happy

I'm not saying there may not be other reasons why it's a good idea.

As from tomorrow it will be harder for me to settle as i`ve a temp job on afternoons, i`ll have no internet access at work, hopefully i`ll be able to keep the show on the road.

Glad you've got SOMETHING Shane. Much easier to get something better if you are in work than out.

I must admit that you could make a very good case for all selections having to be in before the first race. For one thing it would stop people being influenced by market moves (if there are any!).

The only thing which would really benefit the settlers is to do away with evening meetings. Better still, do away with all meetings bar the main meeting. That would make the job a hell of a lot quicker. Happy

I made some comments on the horse racing forum regarding idiots/retards who post. Along the lines of they have a great forum/platform, it`s to be treasured, there are many informative/interesting people on there and it needs policing and protecting.

I feel exactly the same way about the comps forum and all the different competitions/people on here, it`s great the way it is really.

shane, you've got mail - luv that poster BTW Laugh

I agree that it would make it much easier for me to have a 'last day' deadline every day but that's partly for reasons not related to settling. But there is the case that if someone hasnt posted and there's evening racing you have to wait until an hour before the last race, even if everyone else is in the bag. And I have to say evening racing, especially bloody Dundalk, does my head in somewhat! Sad

On the flip side, I imagine part of what we do is to make it easy for people who work to post at a convenient time. Some I notice never post until, I assume, they are home from work. That's why i think overall it would be a bad idea.

Hey HKF you have won the premier 4 times now and if they cant beat you "change the rules" defeatist attitude in my opinion.
Myself, i know nothing about All weather racing, have average Knowledge on flat racing and i like to think my expertise belongs to Jumps racing (mainly class 3 up to highest level)
But the divisional competitions 321 prem in their present state are superbly run.
If members are looking for a certain type of racing only, there are plenty of comps out there to accomodate them.
Its a must for me to allow all types of racing in theses divisions up to last race of the day but i would agree with those who are proposing a midday deadline for posting.
