Warwick abandoned:
Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma had planned to inspect the track at 8am after reporting the course to be only just raceable on Wednesday evening.
However, further rain overnight has resulted in false patches of ground, forcing Varma to make an earlier call.
She said: "We had another 1.5 millimetres of rain overnight and that just left some areas of false ground, particularly at the end of the back straight.
"It's not safe to race, so we have called off the meeting.
"We don't race again until August 21 now, so hopefully the weather will have improved by then as that's our fourth abandonment this year which is less then helpful."

Disastrous month for me so far and picking the shorter priced ones has not helped stop the rot so its time to stop being so cautious and have a go at getting away from trouble and danger
