mr d ferret found the best price of the day with 3/1 Caponata at Naas. He was in 29th place a couple of weeks ago but has gradually worked his way up to 10th since then and is now only 6 points away from a promotion spot.

Biggest climber is flyingbolt who makes it 4 in a row with a 9/4 nap and climbs +6 places. He too was in the drop zone a few days ago but is now up to 15th. Still a bit of work to do to achieve promotion but he's got the bit between his teeth now.

There was no luck for any the top 3 in the promotion battle, which enables 4th placed SilverBuck1 to close the gap on the leaders with his 5/2 winner.
old applejack was in 4th place 2 weeks ago and then lost a bit of ground. But he brings up a 4-timer to regain a place on the podium in 5th.

So with just 3 days to go there's a good battle still in progress for the title. And there are still plenty of players in with a shout of reaching the promotion zone, la mallatierre being one of them whose 5/2 winner puts him in with a good chance.

Things are looking a bit desperate for one or two players down at the other end of the table, but it just got slightly easier with Lucky Blue's retirement (which will show on the next table).
We're very sorry to be losing him of course but it does mean that someone will be let off the hook.
So, some big priced winners needed to avoid relegation but it's been done plenty of times before and I'm not ruling anyone out. Far from it. I wouldn't even be surprised if this month's Div2 champion came from one of the bottom 5. They're all capable of it.
