I guess you can only call it sod's law. Our top storyline today should have been a happy tale of how the man propping up the division bagged himself a big prize and shot 14 places up the table. But Virgin spotted another opportunity that he clearly thought more likely to end his basement gloom and changed his selection. The outcome? Agricultural romped home at a more than handy 10/1 while Virgin's replacement nap, Mutasareb (also 10/1) finished next to last! Cry Commiserations on your misfortune V.
So instead we have an 8/1 winner to celebrate on a very modest day, pension fund easing himself seven places higher with an Appealing choice. Things continue to bubble at the top with Ardross66 finding a Perfect Delight of a nap at 5/2 to regain 2nd spot and lie tantalisingly close to snatching the lead.
There was matching delight for seconds as he sneaked into the promotion zone.
