I'll cover for MM, problem is we are only allowed one WCard anyway and Muff hasn't posted Cry

Do you mean one Wild Card for the whole team or can each player only make one Wild Card selection per week or whatever?

It's not explained very well in the Rules. Just had a look.

guys.....the idea is to spread any wild cards around so that the same player is not always taking them. BUT......if I were the only player around with no others showing in the thread I would have no hesitation putting in wildcards for everyone who is AWOL. Other teams do it, but the comp isn't fair if each team doesn't get to choose eight. Sort them between you two?

that's great - thanks Dessie

MOMM - put one up for Muff - I'll do one for MM - if they post they can over rule us - sound like a plan?

Ok. Sounds good.

I'll go in search of a selection.

Shocked

I tuned in this morning expecting to see me a hero with a 20/1 wildcard winner and Ming's ridiculous wildcard selection coming last.
Instead it's the other way round!

Well done miscreant man! Fantastic napping. Laugh

Me too MOMM - still, it's lucky I spotted the rule violation in the first place.....Laugh Mischief

We are now second in the league with a whopping 6 points to find on those eachway thieves..... It feels like we are at Bechers Brook on the second circuit, so much could go right or wrong. Next month an 8 pts to 4 round in our favour would give them something to think about at the elbow. Bring it on!

I want to take this opportunity to thank Dessie from the thieves of clearing up the rules earlier in this and the main thread. Some may think he has turned on his own team mates and is secretly planning their downfall from within, I don't support this kind of thinking as traitor is such a strong word, God forbid this should create some infighting. Shocked

Yes. It's a good job you noticed it. Where would we be without you? Happy

I make it an even whoppinger whopping 14 points to find with the 8 points bonus for the highest overall annual score (assuming they stay in front).
Have I got that bit right?

Shame there's isn't also an 8 point bonus for the highest fortnightly score, which we seem to be holding at the moment.

Dessie wears a tee-shirt with a dartboard print on it already but carries a heart of gold inside it that we havent broken yet Laugh
Nice to see appreciation expressed

A great effort lads long may it continue Wink
not sure where you dug that one from Ming, but pass the spade on when you have finished with it Grin

Thanks Stewpot for your kind words - you are welcome to my spade anytime you want it - my confidence in that beast was matched only by the sheer scale of the stake I placed on it and the amount of faith my teammates have in me. Laugh

Yes and this works massively in our favour, when they have a bad week next week or the last we can zoom by with a 33/1 winner.

btw the word whoppinger is just awesome.Cool

In fact we could do with a team huddle to discuss tactics, only by finding the whoppinger winners can we win this outright..... whilst not giving it away at the same time. Confused

I was going to Hennessy in the 1.55 Cheltenham but I'll leave that one alone now I've seen that bosstipper's got the winner.
Then I was going to do Wishfull Thinking in the 2.35, but he's already grabbed the winner of that one too!

That leaves me Dorset Square to win the 3.10.

This could be a good day. Happy

Total respect to my team mates for yesterdays performance, top of the table at half way. I opened undecided totals thread this morning fearing the worst as I was unaware of the winners from MOMM and MM. What joyLove!

brilliant work from the miscreant and MOMM yesterday and the other lads with there placed efforts, i think ive caught mings luck :( , anyway a 60pt lead going into nxt week, 4 wins and 4 good ews should suffice, i dont normally pick an early selection but im gonna try with a media luz 2.20 chts today, and hopefully add some points to our tally, best of luck thru the week lads Love

Kind of you to say so but I'm not sure that brilliant is the right word in my case as that was my 3rd choice selection. The first two turned out to be crap. Laugh
I only left them alone because bosstipper had already made selections in those races.

Just been looking at the points structure. We seem to be six points behind those no-good, low-down, cheating thieves.
Am I right in thinking that if we have another good week and stay in front, and they stay second that all we'll gain on them is 1 point, with just one scoring round left and little chance of getting the 8 point bonus which at the moment they seem destined to get?

If ever a masterplan was needed, it's now!

quote, stewpot from their thread: -
We dont have to win this one, just sit on the tails of Newbies like a black shadow that will be a pleasing result

They are already accepting second place boys - the stake is hovering over their cold black hearts - just needs the hammer..

Well done Boss and some inspired yet fateful results from the team as a whole - we were certainly going for the bigger prices today, fair play to the thieves who I think are currently leading after some inspired tipping today and yesterday.

Still have that beast of mine at 620 tonight, thats how desperate we are .... Laugh

Racing looks easy in hindsight doesn't it, a Masterminded and Kauto double, the best two chasers of recent times paying 6/1 and 2/1 Cry
By:

When: 19 Nov 11 17:43
Yeah, well done Boss. And good luck with yours Ming.

I looked at quite a few bigger priced ones today. Bartley in the 6.50 is one I could make some sort of case for, but chickened out in the end in favour of a shorter priced one that I was certain of!

No rabbit out of the hat today - the filly was well backed and was even eased down at the endExcited..... where she lost 7th to come stone last.Blush

We will need to land one or two monster bets in the final 4 weeks (2x 10 pts win @ 25/1 or a 50/1) to lift this thing I reckon. There is still 8 points up for grabs for the biggest total and if we managed to get that rabbit out of the hat it would break the hearts of those thieves foreverWinkLaugh.

Load up you arms and get ready to throw those hail marys. Yee ha!
