Please keep an eye on the threads especially if you are around on Saturday as there will possibly be wild cards to play on Saturday if everyone hasnt seen this/remembered the re-start.

Undecided - seen your comment, as far as I am aware we will have a full compliment of players but will monitor things in the coming weeks.

I've just placed my selection on the thread.

We will probably need to take stock after today to see who's returned to the fold, but today it is a bit of wait and see.                             

Anyone who is around this afternoon could they keep an eye on things and post any wild cards if need be - perhaps leave it until around 3.00 then its a fair bet that any "no shows" wont be posting unless indicating that they will be posting late.
Unfortunately I won't be around this afternoon - Dads taxi is needed to take one of my lads back to Uni, therefore in the event of my selection becoming a non runner please put up a replacement.

the reason i posted 2 wildcards as we missed out on 2 last week and i was too late for the
wildcards i chose last week they both lost anyway

i think we need some instructions from hoof

you didnt post until 15.02 that you were going to pick a wildcard if you would of posted something at 12.25 then the head in hands thing wouldnt of happened

Sorry for the lack of leadership of late - its been hectic of late at home (hospital visiting etc)and I cannot access Betfair at work.
I have not been on Betfair for over a week.

Gart, please reconsider your position, you have been a valuable member of the team, and more than anyone has tried to encourge a bit of banter on the thread. Can we put things behind us and start afresh?

Regarding my position, at least in the short term I wont be able to spend much time on here, plus I am not often around on a saturday afternoon which does not help.

Whilst I am happy to remain in the Team, is someone willing to take over the reigns as Captain? - we need to get things sorted regarding strategy, wild cards and/or replacements,banter/communication and at the moment I have not got the time to give this the attention required.

I'm sorry for your team's troubles, I didn't look in here til now, we'll try & sort out a couple of replacement players for you during the week.

and duke, I did away with the restriction on number of wildcards this year, other than to ask that no one person keeps on doing them all, but feel free to make up your quota for the time being.

Posted a wild card to ensure we dont lose a pick - still another one up for grabs

Theres been no conact in the last week or so so its a fair bet that we will have some wild cards available.

I have put one up to hopefully avoid wasting picks, but I am about to go out now for the afternoon, therefore if there is any Team member around this afternoon please try to keep an eye on things and use wild cards as applicable.

I didn't get around to trying to find new players for you this week, I'll put up a thread tomorrow or Monday, do we look for 3 new players, for tt, gart & Gaz? It may not be so easy to fill 3 spots but we'll make a start anyway.

Thanks undecided, I put two up at York a few minutes before posting at 1.46 on here - not sure where they ended up, but as it happens they both lost so it wouldn't have made a difference.

well done KBGJ on your winner yesterday, I also actually managed a few each way coppers, add this to Marks earlier result and all in all thats the best week for a while.

It's good to get back to almost a full compliment of players, lets see if Undecided finds us another recruit in the next few days  otherwise we will have a wild card available for next weekend - perhaps this should become clearer by mid week.

Morning all, its been a few weeks since we entered the last day in such a good position.

I won't be around this afternoon so anyone on line this afternoon could they keep an eye on things and make sure that all picks are used.

As we have a player short we have a wild card so anyone who fancies anything please put up another pick - going forward, assuming that we dont get another player I suggest that we have a rota for the extra pick and we can place such a selection earlier in the week if prefered.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that presently I do not have much time to get on here, and I have no access at work.So if anyone wishes to take over the Captains arm band and coordinate things please feel free to say so - I would still wish to participate in the competition.

All picks to be placed by 4.00 ( also the 1 hour rule applies)

It's the Breeders Cup next weekend and you are welcome to select from that meeting on both the Friday and Saturday, industry SP will be used to settle.

I am also extending the cut-off for selections on next Saturday only to 8pm.

I'm afraid it looks like Mark Sloan has gone missing so you could be two short again.
Use the wildcards for now and we'll get you a full team for next year.

Apologies for not posting yesterday guys, I was travelling back from West Java.

It looks like we will have at least one if not a couple of wild cards spare so feel free to post another pick if you fancy anything.

I will be around tomorrow afternoon, if anyone has any thoughts as to how to how to play wild cards in future weeks please shout up. For example in early years had a rota which tended to work ok as at the begining of the week everyone knew who would be posting the card(s) and could be played earlier in the week if need be.

morning HH,i agree with having a rota system for wildcards if every one is in favour.
Have put up Unaccompanied at Naas but if your stuck for a wildcard or two i would put up Wishfull Thinking ew in 2.35 at Cheltenham but i leave it to you and the others.i will be off out at about 1.30 so best of luck team.

We have two wild cards and KBGJ's selection was invalid as I had already put up that selection.

I think anyone person can only play two wild cards, and the deadline is looming so I will put up two selections rather than waste picks. Hopefully someone else will look in before the cut-off

We are going to have a couple of wild cards again today, so if anyone fancies anything, ensure both wild cards have not been played earlier via the selections thread then put up another pick ( mark you post wild card etc to assist undecided) - its difficult to coordinate/allocate wild cards in advance as this thread rarely gets used.

I will be around later this afternoon to ensure that we have used up all our selections.

i have picked so wise at wolves in the 7.10

i have also posted a wildcard on overturn in the fighting fifth at newcastle
its got to be worth a go at around 3-1 in a 5 runner race as its a great front runner(won the chester cup on the flat) and newcastle is a very flat course but slight doubt as last race was not that long ago

well done to therobster who got carruthers 10-1 and for 10pts win

i picked overturn 10pts win but im a bit disappointed with the 7-4 sp as i had £100 on at 3-1

HH,i have good news my mate chypmunk will be join the team if ok with yourself and the rest of the team.i'm sure you know him from the naps comp,he was div 3 settler a few years back.

Sorry for the delay  i havent been on the site for a few days and cannot access Betfair at work. 

Good news about Chypmunk, I remember him well from when I participated in the daily competition - I hope to start again the New Year.

If he is able to play this week please do so - I am sure Undecided will be happy with this, otherwise it will good to get somwhere near full strength for when the comp starts afresh in the New Year.
