Racing Demons, Humbugs & Dunter's Punters, sorry you didn't qualify but hope you'll be back late January/early February to renew rivalries in Team Tipster Comp 2011.


Rules for mini Champions League: (changes from usual highlighted in bold)

Competition will take place over 3 weeks, 28 Nov to 18 Dec.
Each team will have 8 selections per week, one from each player, no duplicate selections at any time
10pts win or 5pts EW on British, Irish, French (as long as an industry SP is returned) or Dubai racing , selected any day, Sunday through Saturday, no cut-off time for Saturday selections.
Settled at SP, EW terms as industry standard.
Selections must be posted at least one hour before race time.
Once you have posted a selection you are not allowed to change it or the stake, unless it becomes a non-runner or is a duplicate.
Leaving reserve instructions not allowed.
Non Runners - that team member may choose again for that week.

Wildcards will be available to make up shortfall of numbers or holiday absence. If they are confirmed in advance, then wildcards may be used anytime that following week. If not, then it will be treated as a late wildcard to be used only after noon on Saturday.
Late wildcards will be available after noon on Saturdays to cover unexpected absence so if you may be leaving your selection til after this time you should let your team know otherwise they may use it.
Maximum two wildcards or late wildcards per any one team member per week.
If any player is absent for two weeks running without notice, they may be dropped from the comp.

Teams will start the week from a baseline of 0pts. This equates to 8 losing selections and/or non-selections.
Subsequent scores will be added to this baseline plus return of the winning part of the stake (10pts for win and EW winner, 5pts for EW placed). All scores count.

At the end of week 1, the team with the lowest score will drop out.
The four remaining teams will start week two with the scores gained in week 1.
At the end of week 2, two more teams with the lowest total scores will drop out leaving two teams for the final week.
The two finalists will again start week 3 with all scores gained thus far.
If there is a tie at the end of each particular week so that there is not a clear two sides going out, then the ties will be decided by best individual score within the teams in question for that particular week.
