Hi all, to make it a little easier on the daily nap settler`s, I am proposing changing the last race fav instruction to relate to the last race in the afternoon UK only as the per norm. Obviously you will be able to name the meeting you want including Irish or Uk evening meetings but that must be stated with the instruction.
In other words if you just give a last race instruction this will be the last race in the afternoon in the Uk.
Any comments welcome for or against.

with the advent of more 'twilight' meetings soon to kick in, make sure there is no ambiguity in the word 'afternoon' in the new proposed rule change.
Delta thanks for your comment, I do see that someone might want include a twilight meeting, but I think they would need to name the meeting, I`m trying to get the normal last race fav selection to be the obvious Uk normal afternoon meeting last race as the standard to go on. It just means if you want a later meeting you have to name it.

I can see a problem.
I'm not always able to post a selection every day and have a standing instruction for the LRF if no post.
There are also many days when I'm unable to post until the evening.
So theorteically, I could wait until I know the result of the afternoon LRF before posting a selection (or not) for the evening.
I've always assumed that this is the reason why it MUST be the LRF of the day rather than any other race.
I can understand perfectly why it is a pain in the neck for the settlers, especially in the summer months when you may be waiting to go out or something. So your suggestion is a very sensible one. But I would recommend that it's accompanied by a rule that anyone who has such an instruction is NOT allowed to post another selection after the off time of that race.

Can I make a suggestion?
The problem would still remain for late posters leaving it til the last minute and choosing a selection in the 9.20 race thus defeating the object. My suggestion would be a 7pm deadline for the days selections and ANYBODY who hadn't posted by then would automatically go on the first race after 8pm favourite and receive 1 against their 10 instructions as a penalty, posters could still choose a later race if posting before the 7pm deadline as its their choice and not just picking one cos their late getting online.
