Think luck has run out! 2 seconds with Ruby thinking he was on Arazi and then when front runs falls at the last and Fanning winning the race and then losing it in a matter of strides yesterday. Better selections in Feb hopefully.

As you well know PDB I have a permanent place booked in Div 1 for The Humbugs.

Just a reminder we have started now, so we have three days including Sturday left to play this week.

I have in mind to try and pick early week but have been very busy. Can't see anything for tomorrow and the uncertainty about abandonments doesn't help as you don't want to waste time studying form.

Don`t blame you ud the cards are somewhat uninspiring without studying to find they are abandoned the next day, went on a betting exchange course in Warrington today, as the company I work for are in a bit of trouble, severe cash flow problem and are more likely to go bump than survive imo. So I thought I would get some training in lol. The only trouble with these things is you play safe with minor libilities to win small amounts in lot`s of races or you have a very large bank to do the same but obviously your small amonts will then become reasonable. I myself like to study a race lay or a back a particular horse in a race and play in running to achieve the total in one race. Found some useful tools available to me which I haven`t been using and should be though so not a wasted day.

As I mentioned before I'm not even going to try to make serious money from the horses, I get the impression you would need to trade and that's not for me, but I am trialing a "system" in footy and it's been a disaster for the first half of the season lol, however it's improved lately and well season by season I'm gaining good experience. I think I can make it work to a profit but making a living even a modest one is a whole other ball game.

Plumped for one of Jarvis's in a maiden at Lingfield, not been a great weeks racing and this looks a two horse race, with MJ's making the running and Monaco Dream swooping by it in the straight. Leave the rest of the team to sift through Saturday's cards,won't be a great price but already £1,000 traded on it. Good luck for the week-end............. :)

I'm fine thanks, its funny being paid to watch sport all day again! Well between calls at least.

Cricket is great, racing I can live with, its just the fascination with football that drives me nuts at times!

Gone for Minella Four Star .......EW .....in 4.00. Fell last time out, which may effect how runs today, but at the weights appears a reasonable EW on going. If going changes to HEAVY ...then will be nowhere.............probably! GARLETON may well be the one IF going is heavy....so doing a wee cover bet on that one plus other King horse Old Benny.

Good luck team with your selections today, I have gone for obvious one Alegralil in 2.55 Don. Although the Mare is stepping up alot in Grade and still makes mistakes I like her attitude and if she can avoid any serious mistakes will give the others alot to do at the finish with the stable in flying form. There are a few lurking in the field that have ability if reproducing it. Did like the look of the Nicholls horse at big odds but no one seems interested in backing it at 25/1 which is off-putting, maybe they are waiting for 33`s.

Ud are you ok with today or do you need any help?

That was always the danger coming up against a newcomer, hence ew for some modest points.

Well Done ud with place points, I did spend a fair bit of time studying the race and result more or less as I would have gone, pipe horse had a Supreme Novice Entry and stable are in form but course form for stable not brillant. Missed the race because my daughter phoned to be picked up from friends.

Have left selection for Harry Tricker in Tote trophy at Newbury on Saturday. Off to Lanzarote for week and will have limited access (ie banned from going near a computer!) so if non runner or called off please select alternative.
Have at least found local football game UD Lanzarote v Racing Res to go to break up monotony of sitting by pool.

Hard to see why this one is so well fancied.....at a glance, as an 8 year old, nothing particularly stands out ....though as only GOOD TO SOFT going that gives it a chance to win. If had been SOFT I could not see this one holding off challenge of a younger horse ( not necessarily the fav....as FREDO looks "interesting" as well as SQUADRON and a fe others !!!).

I cannot ignore your selection though, as it must have strong chnace if you have nominated this one.....so I will promtly back out the lay ...and lay another one ...and back your one as well :D

foxy`s selection a non runner may need a wildcard ? stand by all available to cover.

Have gone for Dee Ee Williams 2.45 Asc each way, should be there abouts, not sure why but don`t fancy Beshabar which is a good omen for it to win now, Zabeel Palace could be the one, Midnight Sail is the dark horse for me. Consigliere is too well advertised by jockey which would put me off. Undecided chief Yeoman brings solid form and looks well at the weights, good luck in the daily with that.

unlucky today ud, I selected a odds on trying to secure some points pipped at the post, selected a 9/1 winner in the AW comp typical.

I wonder what the best strategy is, try and get that one good price winner, or pick up a few shorties, it's not in my genes to go oods on so not a difficult choice for me ;)

Just a pity was not nearer the pace ...the winner had a good lead near end and was just too much to catch up on that mud. I had the winner backed as well......it had nor ran for 668 days....and that put me off selecting that one...DRATTTTTTTTTTTTT....Odds were reduced quite a bit before race time .....somebody must have been reading out thread ]:) :D
