Exactly what I was thinking - was discussing yesterday how much the relative votes of Saturday vs Sunday will pan out, if Becca gets that slot and a big ramp is her current price pretty big now.....?

It's a long show tonight too, 2 hours.

Can't see her getting close despite it old chum

Just Cowell's way of making it look close. If Matt is pimp we know he's given up

The running order you give would make it interesting IMO, middle slot might not look that bad with 3 but I have a view that it is.
Report GeorgeBrush December 12, 2010 10:22 AM GMT
I dunno, with the lines already open it's a pretty level field tbh

The eurovision change to having phones opened all through were interesting, as they pretty much showed that the biases in running order stayed about the same as lines opening at the end. Obviously this is only 3 runners, so different, but I think that under normal biases middle slot of the 3 is bad. He'll probably put Becca there again now and beggar this up anyway!

Simon will pimp the one he aleady knows is the winner. Do not forget the scores are accumulating and Simon will know the exact number.

Read my lips

Xfactor investors want the one their money is going on pimping to fk in this show. The one they know is winning will get ramped like an aircraft carrier.

Oh BTW the habitual lie of all show wanting phone calls will be told.

Keep phoning fans its too close to call!!!!!!!![smiley:crazy][smiley:crazy][smiley:crazy]Cry

I don't bet on Eurovision so couldn't comment on that, but the running order will have very little impact now I think.

Comparisons to previous XF final running orders don't really hold up this year - we have more contestants involved, lines open straight away, and the show over 2 days.

If (and it's a massive IF on what we have seen so far) Rebecca can land a defining performance she could make it close, but personally I see it as a Cardle coronation.

Didn't they say earlier in the week that the next act to be eliminated would be at the start of Sunday's show?
Report Dizzy42 December 12, 2010 10:48 AM GMT
If there was any doubt about Rebecca being the 'chosen one' you just had to listen to Cowell's comments last night.  It was hilarious - particularly if you had read the thread on here earlier in the week.  It was like playing X Factor bingo.  When he said she was 'a role model for the whole country' I almost shouted 'full house'! Laugh

voting stops at about 8.20 ish, so assume 3rd place act will be out shortly afterwards.

I know you are making a fair comment Asp.

Her fans have been droning on about this mythical defining performance since day one. And she has always been the same.

Consistent though except when I first backed. It feels like Yesterday. (Beatles gerrit)
Awful awful awful. I have been a rebbecca truth teller ever since.

If you think Simon wants her. Why oh why did he give Matt the divine Rihanna and her the awful  Shaggy Aggy. If you think that trick was lost on Rebbecca and her self confidence then you are from a far more distant Galaxy than even i am.

I agree Rebecca has failed to shine and never really had her 'moment'.  Beautiful was supposed to be it, but it never happened for her.  But I still think that Cowell would prefer Rebecca over Matt - although quite possibly after last night he can sniff potential glory for One D instead.

In this case please explain the Rihanna/ Shaggy Aggy booking.

I think they thought that 'Beautiful' was more of a knock-out song - and that Christina was a bigger name.  Ten years ago this might have been the case, but I think they might have under-estimated the popularity and pull of Rihanna now.  Had there been any chemistry between Christina and Rebecca, they could have knocked it out of the park - but perhaps they forgot that she is a diva only interested in herself and publicising her film, not helping the contestant.  Did you see Aguilera's face as they were walking off stage?  Shocking...  Poor Rebecca.

At least Rihanna tried hard to make Matt look good, even if it was a bit cringe-worthy and embarrassing!

Is last really the pimp slot on the final show? Does no-one remember Leon / Rhydian...

I know I'd rather be first up with a 5 minute "best bit" and your winning single as opposed to your fans getting an ad break to vote.
Report five leaves left December 12, 2010 11:27 AM GMT
Rydian is the exception.

Everyone else who has sung last has gone on to win.

Until last night obviously
Report melv December 12, 2010 11:28 AM GMT
How come I who don't even come from this universe knew that Rihanna was differnt class to Shaggy Aggy and Cowell the showbiz genius didn't.

If in doubt he could have had a quick look at youtube.
