It baffles me why so many people feel so threatened or just dislike a 17 girl.
Because thats what Cher is.
And Lou and a few others are showing temselves up with their bitter remarks.
All she needs is taking to 1 side and given a good talking to.

I agree with you about Cher and I hate the opprobrium that is directed against her. It is just plain mean. However, not only are we in a minority and only does our view not matter one scintilla, but more importantly the negative perceptions of Cher that we read on here are, I suspect, reflective of the wider view of the watching millions. And here's the rub - the winner will not be decided by talent, potential in America or the best singer - the winner will be the person who is most popular with the voters.

Spot on LG. It IS a popularity contest, as much as a singing contest, after all...
However, in this particular instance I would say quite categorically that there are at least four better singers left in the competition that are better than Cher - Matt, Rebecca, Liam and Harry.
Sorry, but that's just the truth. Her personality doesn't come into it, although that certainly doesn't help!
