the same question applies - which artist would best represent the show with the america launch coming up. because we shouldnt be under any illusion about how important x factor is in the usa to cowell, esp taking on american idol and fuller. so which one - and my view is one d would look faintly ridiculous as winners, cher would literally be laughed out of the states, matt is v solid - perhaps no different to the last winner of american idol lee dewyze, and rebecca is perhaps the one that would best represent the brand. esp if a few dancing lessons and maybe a bit of hypnotism can bring ut the odd sway of the hips.

there are a few signs pointing to the fact that rebecca might be the chosen one, in terms of the judges, and that 5.1 could look huge come the beginning of the show on sat, never mind the end...

Personally nick i think Matt would be the best representative. Rebecca is capable of giving consistent good performances, but matt is capable of giving that one Perfect performance that brings a tear to the eye, hes done so already.

I can only remember a handfull of xfactor contestants who've done it.. Leona Lewis with All by myself in the final, and rhydian with you raise me up.

for my money, amazing grace has been the only performance from anyone in the series that had "that moment".

Shrewd. Matt sung first on the second load of songs, i'd say if anyones due the final slot its matt. If OD or cher get it, it's extremely unfair, but then again the shows hardly the fairest competition in the world

It won't make any difference to the American show, whoever wins the Brit one - why would it?  The only downside I can see to OD winning is that it will prove the likes of Elton John are right.

i dunno mikeey i think u underestimate the importance of a decent winner to the credibility of the brand in a year when it launches in america and goes head to head with american idol, just my view...

Matt the only one so far to give three or fout stand out performances.  The only act to have all four judges on their feet.  Funny how that gets overlooked by all the Rebecca backers!

I must admit it comes over really good on the radio.

The thing is Kiss FM attracts the younger audience.

Agree Henry.But the you will read in a major daily tabloid that Rebecca is ahead slightly by real votes over Matt.
And this is from a multi billion dollor company who took the vote.

That would have been so funny and in keeping with the absolute crap that has been churned out week after week this year.

I would like to ask Top - in the know- Gun why the duets were so abysmal. Ferguson hardly sang 3 words with Aguilera and Cardle was obviously trying not to embarass himself when Rihanna almost smothered him.

Robbie was ok with 1D and Cher and Bill did a reasonable job.

But Cardle and Ferguson were total crap.
