My belated view of this weeks songs.

Been away all weekend for sun sex and poker in Vienna (well 2 out of 3 aint bad).

I am writing this as I actually watch them so and without knowing the result so I could end up looking stupid for a change.

Rebecca - At last the performance I had been waiting for, really well sung and put her own distinctive vocal on it, I much prefer rebecca singing this sort of song to the dirgey ballads they usually palm her off with.

Mary - Good quality karaoke, enuff said.

Matt - I was really suprised to see him singing a girls song.  As usual he sang very well but I thought it just didn't compare with the Florence and the Machine version at all well but still good.

Cher - For once her rapping sounded better than her singing and that wasn't because her rapping had improved, I thought it was a total mess.

Wand Erection - If they had had any more reverb on their vocals it would still be echoing now, pimped to hell so I assume they needed it but I thought it was the usual utter carp from them.

Matt 2 - Not a song I like at all but I am sure it will appeal to his core voters.  As usual a quality vocal but I just never quite believe what he is singing, as in he performs all his vocal tricks but he doesnt 'feel the love' or believe she is beautiful.

Mary 2 - She looks like she has eaten Elaine Paige but she certainly didnt sing the song with the feeling it needed its all force with her and the tears at the end reminded me of dead wife man (was it Daniel?) from 2 series ago.  Has to be in danger after 2 awful efforts.

Cher 2 - Not strong enough vocally to carry that song, another that has had 2 poor efforts and has to be in serious trouble.

Rebecca 2 - Why do they make her sing dirge like this?  I know Leona did it and maybe Alex too? but I hate shiite like this, how is theis contemporary?  As usual a good vocal but not what i want to hear her sing.

Wand Erection 2 - Double pimp slot, god they must need the votes and they come on and destroy one of my favourite songs FFS!!!  I think they actually harmonised at one point in the song so thats a first.  Should be a candidate for going home but with 2 pimps and a cowell mega ramp will be safe as houses FFS!!!


So has to be Mary and Cher bottom 2 with Mary going I think.

Now to watch the results show. LOL.
