they have to find something bad to say ?

Susan Boyle is **** and the rest of them are oldies.
If you want to make it big nowadays with youngsters you have to MOVE!!!!!! |
By:
she needs to move something atleast in a ROCK or DANCE tune
cant stand like a statue blink, move your pinky finger, breath, SOMETHING! |
By:
will also help if you get on stage naked
By:
Sign of the times. The choreographers and stage producers have taken over the music industry.

wot TM says
By:
If she moves, she might get pregnant again.
By:
I wonder if she moves when she is being humped.
By:
i think perhaps its not that she doesnt move, its that she looks as if she has just been looked at by the medusa
By:
just listened to all judges comments on songs;and its crystal clear to all sane people that they all agree rebecca is the best
By:
A few weeks ago I would have agreed, but when you compare Rebecca's version of Satisfaction with that of Aretha's the lack of expression and movement means she can't sell the song as well as Aretha does.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eto2urJTKno http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ALYZiCI7WQ It was bizarre how Louis was congratulating her for her dancing last night when she didn't dance at all. Standing static when everyone around you are dancing their heads off may have worked for Terry Hall, but it doesn't work on XF. |

That's true Bunny, but Aretha was rather good you know...
By:
I saw The Specials quite a lot nearly 30 years ago. Must admit, Terry Hall was a surprisingly charismatic performer.
I remember a fight breaking out in the audience once. He stopped singing and started speaking to/at them, totally owned them and made them look like right d!ckheads. Think they slunk out tail between legs style. |
By:
bunny - no one is denying that she has more to learn when it comes to performance and I'm sure that will come with more confidence.
But she's never going to be an Alexandra burke or Cher and do big dance routines or stare down the camera looking sincere, lip trembling as she belts out the big note. That's not her (thank God) As she says herself she's a restrained, understated singer and doesn't want to be anything else. Whether that is enough is debateable. I believe it is. She was top on my 'to win' stats last night and if she reprieves MYFML in the final with plenty of Cowell pimpage she can topple Matt. I'm sure however she does there will be the usual clowns on here (not you btw :) ) moaning about the lack of dancing. No doubt they're the same people who obsessed about Vickers' 'Claw' and Lena's funny accent and naff dancing. |
By:
very disappointing she did so poorly in this country.
By:
That's the one zoom :)
..and yep she deserved to do better over here, but with our sniffy attitude towards Eurovision, she was always likely to struggle. |
By:
Ther little Nazi girl that shut up her critics by singing an Andrew Lloyd webber song. That's some confidence.
By:
its interesting fll, i dont think rebecca needs to be able to dance, but i think her inanimacy (is that the right word) is actually a little off putting, it makes her look uncomfortable and therefore slightly unsettles the audience. i dont think she needs to do much at all, but i do think she needs to do more...
By:
she gives nothing, do not feel i know the girl at all, and she comes across as smug to me when she is singing and also when the judges giving their comments
By:
She is class and will win
By:
that same performance same image scraped back hair pineapple look every single week -cant bear it
By:
she is class apart from the rest;FACT
By:
Yeah, she is scouse class and the rest are economy class.
By:
Nick, I agree she'd be even better if she was more animated in her uptempo performances, but for me her voice is so good that many ofthose who criticise just sound petty to me.
It's rather like watching Rooney score a hattrick and then complaining about his lack of defending...or maybe Fergie should stick him in goal next week to show his versatility. The vocal on her 1st song was majestic. As it was on MYFML and Wicked Game. Everytime I watch those 2 performances in particular I'm just stunned at how good she is. A repeat in the final and she'll trounce 1D and will give Matt a good run for his money. |
By:
hmm, ok mate, i like your confidence but i must be honest i dont share it. i think if she all of a sudden shimmied a bit, showed a bit of style in her movement it really could make all the difference. just my view...
it's different from rooney analogy because her not moving to me detracts ever so slightly from her overall attractiveness. rooney scores three and he has done his job |
By:
I'm not sure we're that far apart nick.
We both agree she'd be even better if she was more confident and relaxed on stage and therefore able to show more personality. The argument is how much that detracts from her performance and in turn her chance of winning. |
By:
Discussions ought to be in context of the xf.
I've always held the view that Rebecca's style is too subtle to win over the majority of the final vote. She still hasn't done anything on the show to make me change this opinion. The excessive ramping from the judging panel is drawing viewers' attention towards her but is also suggesting that she's not polled that great to date. The 'not moving' thing basically means that her performances lack energy. It was a subtle variation on a dance floor classic which had quality but failed to ignite. There will be many people that thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm sure. |
By:
maybe if the judges weren't trying to tell everyone how well she moved etc... then it wouldn't be focussed on. But listen to the comments after last night and you'd think she'd done a full on dance routine. She clearly has the best most original voice and i agree to be the type of singer she is she doesn't need to have full on dance routines etc.. but don't try and pretend she is when she clearly isn't.
By:
Whilst 'The Singing candle's' a decent singer you'd think she must surely move a little bit! You've got to perform the song and specially for a girl it's very unusual to not see them dance/sway to the music. I honestly think she just can't dance so over the years when she's been out with her girlie mates for a night out whilst they dance she must just stand at the bar or something. About a dozen songs now and she's barely moved an inch. Very unusual you can't deny that.

doubters of rebecca keep convincing urself;u fools
By:
the simple fact is that she will probably end up doing best out of all of them, her style looks made to do well in the states a much bigger pond than the uk.whether she wins this or not does not realy matter in the scheme of things.
By:
and the reason people are fixated with her price not moving, well this is a betting site maybe they hope to trade out b4 the final?

"The Singing Candle"
It's called 'performance' James from the North. Being able to 'sell' the song. Stiff as a poker and boring with the same old song week after week is why she's known to not move and apart from the very first week hasn't in about 10 attempts. When she actually said three weeks ago "I was out of my comfort zone having to walk to the front of the satge" Well! Say it with me James ........... hmmmmmmmmm! |
By:
Didnt you watch the video Lou,she is actually super glued to the stage.
