No GB, he thinks we are all jealous of him because he picks the winner every year.

He doesn't even consider for one moment it is because he is a sanctimonious turd! Laugh

Henry, he couldnt keep the wind up going for 3 years FFS.

HF, surprising though it is, I'm sure he could. I have experienced the like before.

He is genuinely interested in betting on XF but just needs a bit more entertainment, he has loads of time on his hands on weekdays. It may not be our way of finding entertainment but it takes all sorts to make the world.

Anyway enough talking about Lou, as it makes fools of us all Happy

If Lou says he backed Joe I won't contradict but all I remember is Danyl - the same unswerving support for Danyl as he now has for Matt (although I hope he's right this time, if Rebecca doesn't win).

I can't read half the posts so it's difficuilt to keep up with it.

To answer your last post.  I went to back Danyl at the very start but was put off by his 5/2 from memory?  I therefore backed Joe thankfully at 12/1 maybe 13/1.  Each week I was sticking up for Danyl specifically because everyone seemed to jump on the bandwagon of Danyl this, Danyl that etc. I hope someone reading this would be so kind as to at least adnit "yer the annoying fcuker did back Joe last year I'll give him his due"

For instance I can't stand Liverpool FC but if someone was to say they aren't a great club with a great history and great supporters I'd stand up and say 'hang on a minute' type thing.

This year there's been this big anti Matt thing because they're clutching at straws and post every little teeny weeny thing to go against him. 'matt seen kissing one of the dancers' 'Matt seen discarding a chewing gum in the street shock horror' So what ........ it's a singing competition!  I then reply with my opinion of which I'm perfectly entitled.  I do have an uncanny knack of picking the winner at the very start every year.  This year however I've only got that big million to one shot Matt running for me though so who knows.  Fingers crossed. (wink)

Not a fan of Use Somebody either - they are taking the p!ss saying this will be up-tempto ... she'll nail it though..

..more interesting is matt's song Alone that is a BIG SONG could be good for him but yes it's very much a girls song i've never seen a bloke sing it !

As they are doing two I'm hoping the other songs but will be better for rebecca.

I still think those other songs are likely to be wrong - nothing else seems to have been confirmed other than the initial 3.

There's another suggestion that Cher has Walk This Way - Aerosmith/Run DMC

Have to be honest again and say from the title I've never heard of Matt's supposed song but having played it on youtube I recognised it right away.  A big song yes and sang by a girl but as Matt has such a range (99% of men couldn't get anywhere near them notes it's very very high for a man) he can just about sing it in the same key a woman would.  They may drop it a semi tone or a tone perhaps for him but that's still amazingly high.

It's a good song that compared with say Rebecca's (just using her as an instance as I don't know too many of the supposed songs) I stated  before it was all a bit dirgy and never went anywhere at all, no big moment in the chorus.  Compare that to Matt's when he gets to the part "Till now I always got by on my own".  It kicks in and definately could be a 'wow' moment. It's a far far better choice than Rebecca's.  Hated last week's Beatles choice for Matt but I do really hope he sings this as I think it will show his voice off perfectly.

So far all we know to be highly likely:-

Mary - All I Want is You (U2) and Brass in Pocket (The Pretenders)

Wagner - Creep (Radiohead)
By:

These have been mentioned, but I think at least some of them are highly likely to be incorrect.

Possibles (unconfirmed):
Matt - Alone, Heart / ?something from Casino
Rebecca - Use Somebody, KoL
Katie - We Will Rock You, Queen
Cher - Numb Encore, Linkin Park ft Jay Z
OD - Beautiful Day, U2

Also a new mention of Cher doing Walk This Way - Aerosmith/Run DMC

If there are people I'm not interested in dealing with I've always tended to ignore their posts and not go on their threads.

Easy - and no need to make a song and dance about it day in day out.

No thanks.  They've all been rude to me and name called, every single one of them.  I always put across my point as fairly and politely as possible.  It's a shame as there are some knowledgable people on here and I like some of the banter but when it gets personal and hurtful I'll take myself away from them.  The 'blocking' has it's pro's and cons but it suits me all things considered.

I'll start again with a clean slate next year ans if people want to be rude and hurtful I'll do the same again.

Not me thanks.  Helmuthian Folds even laughed off the idea a couple of weeks or so ago that I'd been to the hospital and was worried about a health problem.  I think people at least if nothing else on here know I'm an honest chap so why of all things would I make something up like that.  That's a terrible, shocking thing to say and I won't have it.  I've blocked him so what's the big deal?

OK, so you've blocked people.

Stop going on about it day in day out.

Stop talking about them, when you can't/won't read their responses.

Stop being such a hypocrite and joining their threads.

Some of the things you've said, where you've included me, are LIES.

No thanks re the Squares thing.  I let him off once, he's rude again so that's it.  I just won't put up with it.  I'm sure he has a lot of good to say and is one of the more knowledgable posters so it is a such a shame but if he can't respect my opinion (which aint done too bad from memory over the years on here) then I'm not interested.

You may well have blocked me too 'Squares' but if you haven't or someone could pass it on.  No hard feelings and good luck with your bets.

He is 100% lying.  Why would I block him then.  I've blocked 13 so far.  At a guess leaving maybe 50 posters?  Why would I block him for no reason but not the other 50?  People should ask themselves that without rallying round on the bandwagon.

I seem to recall you blocked him because he was disagreeing with you on a thread - what was rude other than that, and have you never used insulting terms like 'next!!' in your posts then?

I can not be called a liar without defending myself.

Lou's version of a liar and/or someone being rude/disrespectful is somebody who has opinions which don't exactly mirror his.

Another ruined thread.

In fact, just about the whole of this forum is a total joke this series.

Very very sad.

Sticking up for him>  hmmmmm

I seem to recall you blocked him because he was disagreeing with you on a thread - what was rude other than that, and have you never used insulting terms like 'next!!' in your posts then?

Firstly why would I block anyone just for disagreeing with me that's ludicrous.  We all have our own opinions as I'm the first to say on anyone's behalf ... Squares included.  Surely as honest, decent, level minded individuls you must see there is a reason I've blocked him.  I know you all hate giving me anything but you must see that surely?

Also stu the 'next'term is not insulting is it.  It's just me thinking 'bring it on' I'll answer all of you who I reply to'.  You're not going to bully me into submission just because I don't agree with the rest of the 'sheep' on here.  'Next'
