I think the quality is quite low this year and I really cannot remember 3 stand-out performances by any of the contestants.

This is in direct contrast to the last 2 years in which both Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry did brilliant performances in every single week throughout the whole competition.

Such was the outstanding quality of their performances that I picked both of them to win after Live Show 1 in each of the past 2 years.

Sadly this year, nobody comes even close.

I agree.  Thought Alexandra and Joe were terriffic every single week.  I'm a big Matt backer but being as honest as ever could only justifiably say twice he's been very good.  Once again for Denman and Stroodle to name three "first class performances" by Rebecca is really being very biased but heh hoh.

I think One Direction will win by default.

Nobody is really great but it is time for a group to win.

Sadly, they are nowhere near as good as JLS who have gone on to do really brilliant things.

Olly and Lucie are the only 2 in last years show who were any good.

Lou I genuinely think they 3 performances were top drawer.

Agree again.  JLS wer a fair old act you know and came up against an excellent Joe last year but seem decent lads so good luck to them.  One D though very very average for me and you might aw awll give 5 mic's to 5 young lads off the street, stand em' together and get them to sing.  Very much thrown together and it shows.

Fair enough if you're being honest then that's your opinion which of course is as good as mine.

I said elsewhere that although i think this year Matt is very much the pick of the bunch I'd back Leona, Rhydian, Alexandra and Joe all to beat him.

Its actually what I thought would happen, very few acts have achieved 3 top class performances. Just trying to work out all the Matt hype?

Matt sang the Britney Spears song brilliantly but since then he has not been anywhere near as good.

He is also getting too involved with Wagner.

He should just chill out and keep quiet.

I think he's done very well twice and well every other week.  The rest have been average to quite good most weeks.  I've always said I really can't see it with Rebecca and the highest score I've given her is a 7.5 on one occasion , the rest being 6, 6.5's and a couple of 7's, that's why I just don't understand yourself and Denman saying she's had '3 first class performances out of the live shows'.

One D to me again are very very average and not as good as Rebecca even and it's looking like you can forget the rest.  For me Mary's done nothing wrong at all every week bar one very poor showing I think it was a couple of weeks ago.

PS:

Have you noticed Matt has been favourite from the very start, tops just about every poll and often by a long way, is the only act to have a standing ovation from all four judges, has never been in the bottom 2, sang from the dreaded 'coffin slot' last week ........... and sailed through again and is clearly the one they all have to beat.

Other than that yes he's got nothing!
