despite the outright prices, surely mary should still be fav for the over 28s category?
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 9:49 AM GMT
Hmmm.

You would have though that now Cowell will be starting to be irked by the Waggy campaign, although he will have loved it so far

I predict an overdue early for Wags this week, and maybe even a decent slot for Mary

5 weeks running she's taken a worse slot than him Plain
Report GymTanLaundry November 23, 2010 9:55 AM GMT
GB - you meantioned on another thread that this almost identically mirrors jedward's price moves.  once people thought they could win, they were out.
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 10:01 AM GMT
Indeed. The campaign has ramped up mind. I think he might have one more week in him
Report The real Moaner November 23, 2010 10:33 AM GMT
So Wagner is now 4th fav to win but is overtaking Katie as favourite to go this week?

Yeah - that makes sense...
Report bunnyman November 23, 2010 10:35 AM GMT
To say that the RATM campaign was a social networking phenomenon isn't strictly true imo, it was driven by massive exposure on all other news outlets.  Not sure Wagner can rely on that.

Some people will be thick enough to think they are hurting Cowell by voting for Wagner, but most will realise that their phone bills are just adding to his huge bank balance.

It's becoming a bigger and bigger story and would ultimately be a much bigger story than the christmas no.1

It's being ramped up on TM at this very moment.
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 10:55 AM GMT
How low can he go?
Report five leaves left November 23, 2010 10:57 AM GMT
1.8?

He's in the top half of the vote each week, apparently Grin
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 11:01 AM GMT
Yeah, forgot that. 1.7 prolly
Report five leaves left November 23, 2010 11:16 AM GMT
The sun says top 3 every week.

1.6.
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 11:19 AM GMT
Wagner said 'I may not have the best vote, but I'm in the top 1'
Report The Kitten November 23, 2010 11:35 AM GMT
The Wagner/Widdecombe double should be 1.8.

This is all about "the people" protesting against authority. Nothing to do with singing and dancng, all about "the people" trying to gain a small victory over what they see as "authority" (BBC and ITV).

It's a well known socila phenomena in times of political and economic upheaval. And the thing is just snowballing.

Wagner+Widdecombe is a very real possibility. And it really would damage the bookies - that's another thing in it's favour.
Report bunnyman November 23, 2010 11:40 AM GMT
Protesting against authority by enriching them at your expense?  Genius.  Laugh
Report LOU MACARIS TARTAN B November 23, 2010 11:42 AM GMT
The thing is surely eventually the masses will vote the real deserved winner.  I deliberately won't use Matt in this scenario so you can't say I'm being biased towards him.

Say it were the final 2 and it was Wagner versus Rebecca.  You're not telling me Wagner will get more votes and win it.  That would be an absolute farcial joke and the end of this programme on the TV as would Anne Widdecombe winning the dancing.

Wagner's had an unbelievable run which based on talent should have gone the very first week.  I thought Jedward were the worst I've ever seen on the show but wagner's far worse.  It's time he went and we concentarted on picking the best singer.  Enough's enough.

God its seems like forever since a full blown Kitten Ramp!
Report alfie46 November 23, 2010 12:01 PM GMT
if wagner makes TOP 3 the phone bills will be worth it
Report badgerbite November 23, 2010 1:45 PM GMT
seeing cheryl cole's sh*t eating grin as he wins it is worth the phone bills, never mind the winnings

x factor is in my view this
x standing for extra plus factor
the singing counts for nothing its the market of business opportunity now who is more marketable a singer take any of them this year no superstar amongst them against a clown who will make millions factor that

It's a singing competition FACT.  That's why every week they go out and SING.  They don't juggle, tell a joke, perform a card trick, paint or jump fences.  They SING.  If you can Factor that into your bets and you have a good ear you won't go far wrong.
Report wedge1 November 23, 2010 5:43 PM GMT
i know but none of them have an exta factor except one and your boy has not got a prayer even though he prays every week to his god for charisma

Boils must be tired of me calling them. Took the 13's

Cheryl 8's to be first out surely looking value now too
Report stringerbell November 23, 2010 6:32 PM GMT
yeah jack, all over it, still think its the bet of the year

assuming katie and cher go soon, we are left with a final 4 of matt, one d, rebecca and mary/wagner and is it an 8 to 1 shot for mary to beat rebecca to the final three with the whole of ireland and tescos behind her.

this isnt a ramp, just my suggestion of a fantastic tip
Report GeorgeBrush November 23, 2010 6:32 PM GMT

Straight forecast Matt/Wagner 33/1 is just plain wrong for anyone interested.

Shame they're only taking £5 on it
Report Helmuthian Folds November 23, 2010 6:51 PM GMT

Report stringerbell November 23, 2010 6:56 PM GMT
too right, could be inspired. the maths add up to me as well, if he can get to the final the momentum in terms of pr and also the feeling that people power could generate shockwaves through the tv world might just inspire more ad more people to get involved. you only really need 600 thousand punters voting multiple times and you might get there
