He thinks he doesn't need the show now. Plus he's a rebel; remember James Blunt is his hero. Lay.

I agree GB.
He likes things to go his own way...and if they don't.............. |
|
By:
every thing he says...is what everyone has been saying all day on the radio.
simon may get his ratings...but it may be at a price this year because the public can see what he's doing. sometimes you just can't have it all. |

Are we back to the 'Matt done this' 'Matt said that' 'Matt in odd socks scandal' 'Matt caught making toast in the middle of the night' 'Matt forgetting to polish his shoes' etc etc. It really is clutching at straws isn't it. People been putting this nonsense up for weeks yet he's been the favourite every single week and very much the one they have to beat. You're bigger than that Figgy. An hours detention and don't do it again! "Next" |

Dont you think he has a little bit too much to say for himself Lou?
|
|
By:

I think they quote him because he's the favourite. Do you honestly think the other contestents aren't saying to themselves, each other, friends "How come that bl00dy Katie's still in it"? Matt has denied yesterday or today that he is seeing the makeup girl from the show. Why do they make up these stories about him ...... because he's the favourite. Like i said "Matt seen discarding a piece of chewing gum whilst walking down the road" WOW! |

I think the mask has slipped now,he is an arrogant so and so,even his celebration when his name was called showed this,i think people will turn against him.

Do you REALLY think that? People will turn against him? What's he supposed to do then when he gets picked. If he doesn't smile they say 'cocky, knew he was going through thinks he's 'it'. When he shows by celebrating he's through he's 'arrogant'. What can ge do? |

Sorry but I think you're just looking for excuses. You're a big Rebecca backer and are looking for any excuse as you're worried about Matt and rightly so. Commenting on his celebration isn't going to stop him though I'm afraid. Say you don't like his singing, he's a bit stiff by not moving much, seems to sing at the very top of his range and looks like he's struggling to get there (how he does I don't know) I can understand but siding with the people on here on every little thing about him is really clutching at straws. It's a singing competition and Matt's a match for anyone. (Even though he'll probably throw the match away without blowing it out first). I know UNBELIEVABLE behaviour. |

Its Good for the xfactor brand, good for Simon, good for Matt. Well done Mr Clifford.
The only thing that counts for me is Matt losing his nerve. Why should he do that? everything he has done has worked even his so called bad week was good. It was particulary good for his nerve to show he can survive a wobble. He can survive another if he has to. Glad to see Lauren is making something out of this. My hope is that she is in on the act a Lauren Matt reunion would be celebrity fetishism dynamite. Ps Matt is more intersting than Rebbecca. |

Morning Lou, your refusal to take on board any possible negative about Matt is becoming comical. Do you believe that his victory is so assured that he can say or do whatever he wants and it make no difference to his chances?

Yes he's been good every week, the best of the lot's performances on two occasions IMO. You can't take away that he's a good singer so should come out and be good every week. He's in with a real shout no matter whether he's cleaned behind his ears this morning or not. |

No of course not however I just think most or the press is just farcical. Look at my post of 9.04 I've pointed out some things that aren't ideal about him myself! I'm just answering anyone who wants to jump on the anti Matt bandwagon with utter nonsense. If they say Rebecca is a better singer fine that's their opinion and I take their point but don't go on about 'Matt losing his hair" ......... he probably has about 95% of it and so what it's a singing competition! |

I hate this cocky ****. Wasn't he training with Spurs the other day?

Exactly! |

Definitely not sensible.....think he could be a lay now. Cowell pulls all the strings and he won't like his authority being questioned...although Matt is probably right! Cowell wants One Direction to win and it will be interesting to see his comments regarding Matt this week. I'd say Matt's shot himself in the foot.

this forum's transformation into a digital spy sister site continues.
irelandsfinest - you're spot on of course. no point talking sense with half the people on here though. annoying cowell, in the long run, is not a smart move. |
|
By:
Lou - Matt has a big mouth, a big ego and a poor sense of judgement. To simply dismiss all that by saying he probably also wears odd socks is ludicruous.
Yes its a singing contest but as we saw with Rhydian and leon its not always the best voice that triumphs. |

annoying cowell, in the long run, is not a smart move. ^^^^ that is only my opinion. |
|
By:
if cowell cant stop Matt winning he will support him making the best of a bad lot(never going to make much money off him)
rebecca would be his best result, she would make the x-factor brand more credd in usa next year. 1direction would be a better result for cowell than Matt,he can give them to louie and rob them blind, 1D are allways going to do as they are told S cowell does not know who will win, his influence over the top 3 in the betting at this stage of the comp is overstated by most on here my advice split your green 40% matt,40%becca,20% 1D and lay the rest |
|
By:
good morning Lou

agree with mach there. although i'm planning on eventually getting green split 20/30/50 on matt/rebecca/one direction.

We're just back to posting interesting press stories. This is the 3rd, 4th or 5th where Matt has had too much to say for himself. Whether you find that admirable or arrogant, one things for sure, it's definitely stupid. |

Oh annoying Cowell is not a smart move granted i just think that ther must be a 1000 things said about him every day so I, probably don't think it's too much of a thing against Matt probably about 0.0001%. Ideally though? I wouldn't have said it. |

Just read your post. Same as what I said to Bunnyman. Oh annoying Cowell is not a smart move granted i just think that ther must be a 1000 things said about him every day so I, probably don't think it's too much of a thing against Matt probably about 0.0001%. Ideally though? I wouldn't have said it. |
|
By:
it's not the same though lou.
you're saying it a very minor issue. fll is saying it's a bit bigger than that. cowell loves singers who do what he says, have zero personality and don't question him - e.g. leona, alexandra, joe. matt isn't coming across as a yes man. that may well be to his credit - but not with cowell. |
|
By:
I'm starting to like Matt more now (mainly because I need him to be in the final with Rebecca, I wish I could be unbiased and more professional).
He is arrogant and opinionated but I don't think he's said anything too bad (yet). His worst outburst was against his ex "I hope she enjoys her money, I hope she pisses it against the wall”. I can't find the link sorry, I just read it today, pretty sure it just came out today. When XF quote him they modify his words and make him sound nice “I broke up with her before the show started. It had nothing to do with me being on The X Factor. She’s a nice girl but I’m not getting back with her.”: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/xfactor/view/162984/X-Factor-2010-Sex-mad-Matt-Cardle-blasts-ex/ |

Yep, I agree that it is interesting to post the various press stories and discuss them on here.
It just so happens that the majority of stories this series seem to centre on Wagner (understandable), Katie (also understandable and because it's Katie, that's fine apparently) and Matt, which is possibly not quite so understandable. I think I've said plenty of times that I don't think the odd story here and there makes loads of difference. If people are a fan of someone they dismiss it as the papers printing rubbish; if they don't like someone they still don't like them. However, I think a continual drip drip of stories can ultimately make a difference. I don't know how things are going to pan out regards who wins on finals night, but the way things have gone on the shows and in the press so far is reminding me a little of the year of Leona Lewis, Ray Quinn, Ben Mills - fairly obvious who is who this time around. |

That's all I'm saying. 50 stories about Matt with the big shocker being form Matt's ex girlfriend who sold her story to the NOTW. Wow! |
