1. It's a fair tool, the judges decide after the sing-off.

2. Sometimes the judges are told how to vote, other times it is open for them to make the decision.

3. The decision is already made, and the quality of the performance in the sing-off is wholly irrelevant to the outcome.


What do y'all think?

Katie surviving - after forgetting lines, sitting down, saying sod it, desperately shouting "don't give up on me" rather than singing it, and doing it against good opposition - should remove any residual belief in 1. [;)]

Yes I thought she was just awful last week and I personally think TreyC was one of the very best singers on the show.  Did well every week for me.  Katie's sing off was especially awful so why Louis saved her I don't know.  It could be he's told to yes or do we believe his explanation that he thinks Katie has 'something'?
