Think he's safe this week. Hope so as my betting is based solely on this assumption ie green on 4 to go.

I'd make him about 25/1

That's to go this week, covering a double elimination. He is flirting with the bottom, and can't get late slots for much longer. B3 and he's out imo.

can you get on at vc fll?

I agree fll. The polls make him safe from bottom 2 and his poll ratings suggests he punches above his weight in the actual pv.

I'm toying with coming up with a multiplier factor for poll ratings prior to eviction as we will ahve enough data after this weeked to spot any trends.

That said when a wagner type goes its often a surprise in that you think the momentum is still there so can be difficult to spot the "moment".

oops forgot its probably bottom three. Squeaky bum time but I'll still let it ride.

No cider, 'the punters friend for 60 years' closed my account.

..and yep maybe 9/2 for any elim, but 25/1 or bigger for the 6th eviction, assuming it's a double and the bottom vote getter goes 6th

Unlikely to be bottom yes. But they are running out of the duff acts to prop him up. 9-2 this week or 10-3 next week both look ok.

Can't be running order as it would mean Cherly has the complete seconf half of the show to herself.

Although I really like Paijje think they may be after him this week. Rikki 'eyebrow' loony sang the same song last year (black is black) and got roasted by cowell and subsequently got the boot!

Wagner goes nowhere!

Chaps. "Could it be magic" for Mary?

There's no 40-1 in the street, taken it all. I think that track will flop badly. If she ends up bottom 2 with anyone apart from Wagner or Belle Amie she could be toast.
40-1 is certainly a trading opportunity IMO.

if Rebecca nails that song she will be shorter than Wand erection by the end of the show.

totally agree, a brilliant choice and she's likely to be close to favouritism imho

and Matt gets stuck into Katie in the DM:

X Factor star Matt Cardle has reportedly branded fellow contestant Katie Waissel "fame hungry".

According to the Daily Mail, the singer denied claims that the pair were found in bed together and admitted that they are no longer on speaking terms.

He said: "That stuff about us being in bed together was absolute bulls**t. Katie's a fame hungry t**t. I can't say any more about it because nothing happened.

"I would never go near her. I'm not speaking to her, I don't have anything to do with her in the house. I've made my feelings absolutely clear and if she doesn't get it by now then she's more stupid than I thought."

Asked what Waissel could do to repair their friendship, he said: "The only thing she could do is leave the competition. I don't care if she's in or out of it, as long as she's out of my face. I'm concentrating on the competition, not all that s**t."

Any view on Mary's song squares? Or anyone else come to that? Cool

When: 30 Oct 10 15:16
Wagner : O Fortuna/Bat out of Hell.
Mary : Could it be magic.
One Direction : Total Eclipse of the heart.
Belle Ami : Venus
Aiden : Thriller
Matt: Bleeding Love
Paije : Back to Black
TreyC : Relight my fire
Cher : Stay
Katie : Bewitched
Rebecca : Wicked Game

Wager - should be fun, could be immense, won't be forgettable.

Mary - dull tired old song, probably entertaining enough and still liked by Loose Women type demographic.

One D - Mary's comments could apply here too.

Belle Amie - probably not memorable enough to keep them out of the bottom, unless anything out of the ordinary happens.

Aiden - could be immense or car crash, shouldn't be forgettable.

Matt - loathe the song myself, but sure Matt's fans will love it.

Paije - could go either way, needs to do a very good job to stand out.

TreyC - same comments as for Mary and One D's songs.

Cher - can't imagine her doing this song so will be interesting.  Kudos if she does a good job.

Katie - bit of a dull dirge.  Likely to be in trouble unless anything out of the ordinary happens.

Rebecca - hard song to do well.  Siobhan was great with it in AI so once again kudos if she does a good job.

Looks to me like Belle Amie, One D, Mary and Treyc have been given the worst songs this week...  The others should at least be memorable.

If Belle Amie also get an early slot they have to be worthy favourites to go at around 2s.

Matt will get all the plaudits again, so his price could well be even shorter than 6/4 by close of play.

Elsewhere there's plenty of potential for car crash TV, so it should be interesting!

Aiden - could be immense

Yep if he nails this could go favourite.

There must be plenty of people who know if he can handle this; and enough people who know if he is struggling. They also know that if he misses a tune he misses by a mile. And you do not want to miss this one. We all know what it should sound like. Absolutely no adaptability this lad.

However his price has been rock solid @ 19.5 all week. For that reason its a car crash.

Paije should be able to do a better job of it then Hopeless and Rikki Lonely, and does seem more likeable (altho that's not saying much)
By:

I think Paije needs to stretch his lungs to impress, and this song doesn't
