I've just looked at all the various top 40 singles/download charts and not one of them have any of the XF singles in them which is unrealistic. 
Is it written somewhere that these downloads are not counted for any charts?

Where did you read that, and why don't they count?

Apparently it's by agreement to protect the 'integrity' of the show
