Matt's the first truly nice all round singer to lead this early!

All the others were either too fame hungry and bitchy to the other contestants or had the Scotland/Ireland vote behind them to start off with!  It never lasts!!!

Matt deserves his place at the front and deserves to stay ahead of the rest!  He may wear a silly hat (not for long) but he sings faultlessly and just you wait until he sings a killer song!  those odds will tumble!

Yes I think that.  Don't think he's quite hit a real good performance yet and I haven't fancied his first two songs much. He's done well enough and I can see why he's the favourite but if he gets a real gooden I think he'll knock em' dead.  He may not win it but I do think he's the one to beat and the pick of the bunch for me.

how many have u tipped up so far melv;now its matt;surely u will have the winner from all ur picks lol u clown;REBECCA ALL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY...

I am on Gamu and matt @ 11. Frankly I am not expecting win. Not watching the programme just posting out of interest. I think it will be the boy band. But I missed the prices.

Good luck on rebbecca. Missed the prices  again.Did not back too obsessed with Gamu. If I could have got 11 i would have backed her too. Did you know that one way of winng on this is to back em all at high pric3es and lay off.

However as you may have glean Gamu's plight haws fkd me and I am out of the game.
Matt is my only runner . I cannot even afford to lay off.

I'd be amazed if Cardle didn't win.

Awesome feedback from last week, and we all know he can do much better.

Universally popular, will never throw in a poor performance, bound to throw in a few absolute scorchers, looks a real favorite to me.

Should be a genuine 1.8 shot.

To be fair I wouldn't be 'amazed' if he didn't win but I think he's the most obvious choice.

Awesome feedback from last week

Where?
He wasn't doing anything special on twitter for someone who had the pimp slot and the number of thumbs up for his performance on the the itv site were down on the previous week.

LOL OK.
Yep, everyone thought he was awesome. 1.8 would look generous.

Women find him cute but aren't you Matt fans worried he's too samey and people will tire?

We are supposed to be waiting for a killer song for Matt. He's already had a killer song "You Know I'm No Good", so good it's what got him first noticed in the auditions. However he used half the dynamic range Amy Winehouse uses and vastly poorer enunciation.

Other killer songs he dulls (all girls' songs and one M Jackson) on youtube: Mercy; Closest Thing to Crazy; snippets of Jolene and Thriller.

Too samey. Universally adored, and couldn't have sung 2 more contrasting songs so far.

And you accuse FLL of being irritating and patronising. What a hypocrite. He made them samey though, both like my cat scratching the wall.

Hotting up nicely already. It always comes down to RMB vs FLL for me. I hand the carrot of peace and then he pishes me off acting like an autistic arrogant twunt, when in reality he could learn alot from me. £12k up already, I'd be surprised if he makes that all series, but I like to remain friendly and objective, GLA.

And here comes his minions. The best thing about being a solo warrior on here is I make it pay, and thats what iirks them.

Must admit my response to you was very patronising and bitchy, and totally pointless. I was riled by FLL on the other thread already so I take back the tone of my response! Sure we will fall out very soon though! LaughLove

Then don't use: Laugh just because someone posts a view you don't agree with. There are w@nkers on this forum but you're normally above that.

Very true. My apologies, totally agree. Smiley faces and patronising comments are the bane of this forum, so I shall refrain unless it's fire vs fire! Cool

This is great.  I normally get all the stick here for not conforming but it's been alright for a while with you around. sshhhhhhhhh (wink)

The level of conforming on here is insane at times bud, it's not healthy either. You need to move away from groupthink and not post patronising comments (as I just have) when you disagree with something. The more contrasting comments and the more debate, the bigger picture we will all have which can only help us when placing bets.

You ask below do we aworry that Matt's a bit samey and people will tire?  I don't think they will.  I think if there's a big band week for instance, he'll dress up in a smart tux' pick a Sinatra classic and knock em' dead.  I think he ticks all the boxes really I do.
By:
Angela Rebecchi

The 'you' posted was a general you, not you explicitly! You seem to never post patronising comments etc and will always state your view, which is healthy for this place, keep it up! (hate being pleasant!)

I'm with you Angela!

Just because someone is at the head of affairs in the race doesn't mean he is gonna falter!  If 1D was a group of men as opposed to the TEENAGERS that they are...then they would be a serious threat to Matt.

As it stands, Matt shoud get to at least 2.5 on Betfair (if there is a serious other challenger...stranger things have happened) However, I'm hoping he will win

If they want to nobble him yep.

It should be a small part of a song, if its there at all, not a whole dawn chorus of tweety warbling.

Matts just doing what he is told under the illusion that Simon will not knife him if he is a good slave boy.

I appreciate you loathe him that's fine of course.  However do you think he's in with as agood a chance as any and in fact more than most, if not all the acts?

Thanks for your honesty.  I know what you mean about the prices ..... two of them at 11/4 meaning between them they're about 4/5.  I do think though that 6/1 would be a bit high.  I think there's only about 4 left that could actually win this so even allowing one more from the rest I'd make Matt about 4/1 if I'm honest and the best of the 4/1 shots at that.  All in I'd make him about 7/2. I think 1 Directions price is very low and people are purely backing on 'Simon wants a group', 'Simon wants to win it this year' 'the little girls are all gonna love them' etc.  I think that's very shaky ground.  Talent wise I'd have them lower than halfway of the acts left.

The One-ers have an amazing 371k hits on the main Xfactor YT slot.

Matt has a cool million more.

It will be entertaining watching Simon ramp his boys, with screaming girls, "Oh how these lads love each other" and of course they will be "The best boy band there ever was". A sob story would not go a  miss. Oh and don't forget to wheel on a few grannies Simon.

Even more entrtaing will be the judges putting the boot into Matt. Even though he is my only bet.

Unless Johns tumbling price means something. Pimp slot? Hope I can lay off @ 20's.
