Mary Byrne ~ This Irish veteran mare is saddled with top weight. Has been accused of some horse play going for a Brazilian. Is she a thorough stayer?

Matt Cardle ~ Usually wears a visor, but did ok without it yesterday, the favourite...but still more to come?

One Direction ~ This juvenile runner, still raw but being bigged up by their 'trainer'. Overhyped?

Wagner ~ This Brazillian bred is the Quixall Crossett of the field, not very good, but has his followers.

Storm Lee - Scots bred, but US trained runner, has ability, but has been poorly managed, not as good as they thought. Also very poor in latest run.

Rebecca ~ Aintree specialist, won best turned out, has great ability, lacks real confidence to win the race.

John Adeleye ~ This unfashionable runner is the steady Eddie of the field, but surely will be found wanting once the pace quickens.

Diva Fever ~ Late reserve. Out of their depth in this field. Although their bright pink colours will attract some supporters.

Paije ~ Has ability, but has been trained poorly. Not turned out well and has missed lots of work.Lacks fitness/stamina.

Katie Weasel ~ Not very popular with the punters who felt she was unfairly supplemented in to the race. Almost fell in last weeks race, but put in a better performance yesterday. Bound to fall soon in the bext few weeks though.

Cher ~ This Romany bred runs full of confidence and has her backers, will finish in the first 6..but this one trick pony won't win.

Aidan ~ This northern runner has great ability but shows nerves, sweating profusely during the preliminaries. If he can keep this under check..can reach the frame.

Treyc ~ This reserve runner doing ok, but will fall over when the tempo increases.

Belle Amie ~ Was was a last minute entrant. Attractive well bred, but one of the favourites to fall at the next hurdle.
