I agree with nearly all of that HF.
Katie good but not that good. Mary was sensational and I rather enjoyed the tarts without violins. Oh and I enjoyed Aiden, but hard to see him winning. |
|
By:
I thought Treyc was screechy and forgettab;e and I think she may be the shock in the bottom 3 tomorrow.

seeing as I dont want to be reported...

Storm - 0/10 (missed it, but Pamela got 10/10 on SCD)
Treyc - 5/10 (not a patch on Ruth) Paige - 3/10 Wand Erection - 5/10 (a decent effort with a sh1te song) Cher - 5/10 (Ok when you could hear her) John - 8/10 ( I love this guy) Diva Fever - 2/10 Rebecca - 5/10 (patchy again) Aiden - 6/10 (better than most, but obviously not a patch on last week) Wagner - 6/10. Katie - 6/10 Bellamy - 6/10 ( I enjoyed it) Mary - 9/10 (I thought she was better last week) Matt - 5/10 (meh) |

|

By:
I maintain that the only one with any real talent is Rebecca.

Hel
I agree with a lot of that again. Didn't think Katie was THAT good but a big improvement. Wagner awful for me. |
|
By:
the trick with wagner is he knows he cant sing but plays it in such a way as to try to make it oddly enjoyable a lot of the others cant sing either but dont realise this and therefore come across as hopelessly out of their depth

Aiden has to be careful that he's actually too good for this competition if that makes sense. His voice and musical taste would be better suited to Jools Holland than Cowell's empire.
His voice is superb but it is no way an X-Factor voice, the ridicule of his performance last night was a complete joke. It wasn't perfect but was in no way "rubbish" and I don't know why he said that. I'm sure with strong guidance he'd be able to get through this competition and still win it, but I doubt he'll get this from Danni and although I've backed at 10s I'd be hopeful rather than confident. |

Aiden's sulking seemed a bigger negative than his singing to me. Don't think Cowell will want to work that closely with such a stroppy kid who isn't all that great to compensate (forget the rubbish about being potentially a great star, blah blah we hear it every year about people who end up flipping burgers and singing in a local bar). 100s of kids could sing as well as he does, literally. I also think he is a little too close to last years winner for comfort.

By:
Came across as a genuine emotional response to his disappointment to me stu
He'd just been slagged by the judges |
|
By:
Storm - bottom
Paige and Treyc - Paige gets booted on the basis of his wardrobe |
|
By:
Wrong fred
|
|
By:
Yes - but there are different ways to respond and I don't think his way looked good.
|
|
By:
Not sure I agree with that Stu, Aiden acknowledged he knew it wasn't that good and then genuinely looked like he was holding back tears.
Genuine eomitional responses tend to go down well in these shows, I think his off key warbling was more vote damaging than his attitude. |
|
By:
I'm sure he could bounce back, but generally I don't really remember many winners down the years reacting in that way.
|
|
By:
Off key warbling and attitude combine to make it a worrying week for Aidan backers (myself included).
I think he's safe and will go on to finish in the top half (not saying much with 16 acts this year), but doesn't look like a typical winner anymore. |

By:
he is good when he gets it right, terrible when he gets it wrong like with Man in the Mirror.
Agree with most HF, though I thought Katie was good but not great. Storm - 3/10 Treyc 6 Paige 5 5 directions 4 cher 3 John 7 Dive Fever 4 Rebecca 6.5 Aiden 3.5 Wagner 5 Weasel 6 Bellamy 4 Mary 6.5 Matt 7 |

Allez
I think a lot of his performance was good and he'd have been right up there still but you can't just conveniently forget that about four high notes (all the same word/same part of the song) were just terrible. We'd forgive someone once I'm sure but 4 times? I actually thought his response was very sulky too so didn't acquit himself too well there but I think he was so disappointed at completely ruining all of his good work of last week so i can understand his frustration. Still around for a good while yet though with I'm sure lots of good stuff to come if in not too high a key. |

marks refer to my own enjoyment of the performances, NOT how good or talented i think they are:
storm - 2/10 - awful, spoiled a classic song, pure cheese, early slot, lukewarm comments, f00ked! treyc - 5/10 - sang it well in fairness, people with poor music taste will lap this up, boring. paije - can't really remember it so can't give it a mark, seems a nice lad though. one direction - 6/10 - rubbish song of course, but it was actually good fun, quite enjoyed it, couldn't help tapping my feet, mums and daughters love these lads, should at least make final. cher - 0/10 - i hate this girl with a real passion, rude, obnoxious, and SHE CANNOT RAP!! that said, will probably stick around for a few more weeks. john - 5/10 - likeable and sang it very well from what i heard of the bits we didn't talk over, a bit boring. diva fever - 5/10 - dreadful, just DREADFUL, but absolutely HILARIOUS! rebecca - 7/10 - i love the tone of her voice, thought she was great but could have been so much better - that song needs to build and her "shyness" didn't really allow it. too good for this shambles of a competition. aiden - 3/10 - made me feel really uncomfortable, very poor. facial expressions when he sings are so irritating - looks like he has tourette's. he's actually not bad though. wagner - 7/10 - brilliant, an absolute LEGEND! katie - 5/10 - actually quite good, but there's no escaping the fact that she's a t!t. belle amie - 3/10 - dire, no chemistry, another classic ruined this week. will not make it to week 4. mary - 6/10 - yes it was good, yes she can sing, but she can't do old covers every week, will get boring very quickly. massively overrated of course, but she's actually not bad. matt - 5/10 - sang it well, but a very boring, forgettable performance. |
