Report badgerbite November 24, 2010 11:01 AM GMT
WAGGY to sing Creep by Radiohead....inspired if true...will sound like a cat drowning but thats not the point...

Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have backed controversial X Factor contestant Wagner to win the show.

The 54-year-old singer has been repeatedly criticised by the judges, but remains on the show thanks to the public.

It has also emerged that he will perform a cover of ‘Creep’ by Radiohead this Saturday (November 27).

"I know he isn't the best singer, but the public want him there. The judges should chill out a bit,” Bieber told The Sun.

Perry added: "He's fun. He's taking the criticism the judges give him really well. The public are crazy for him."

Meanwhile, bookmakers William Hill have slashed Wagern’s odds to win from 100-1 to 10-1.

Honestly George I've never heard it.  I don't understand why acts want to sing a song that let's even say 90% of people know (which I'm sure it's probably not half of that with this song) when you can sing say 'Bridge over Troubled Waters' and the whole world knows it.  Why alienate half the viewing audience?

X Factor Wagner's now got the Ark Factor!

24 November 2010
By Michael Powell
Defence correspondent

The crew of HMS Ark Royal have thrown their support behind X Factor contestant Wagner in an attempt to lift the doom and gloom on the axed ship.
The barmy Brazilian has become a major talking point for the ship's company with his outlandish performances which have divided the nation.

Pictures of the X Factor star in a number of poses have been put up around Ark Royal to raise morale after the ship became a major casualty of the government's defence cuts

Wagner Carrilho is pleased that people are 'embracing the madness' of his X Factor run.

The Brazilian wildcard entrant, who has lasted far longer in the competition than bookmakers and pundits predicted, thanked the voting public for their generosity.

"When Simon [Cowell] said "embrace the madness" it was funny," he said in his official show blog. "And it seems like people in large numbers are embracing the madness. Thanks you so much everybody."

Carrilho also revealed that he enjoyed last week's Beatles medley because he is a fan of the '60s pop icons, but admitted that he is struggling with the upcoming Rock Week.

"I struggle when I have to learn a new song. So two songs is twice as difficult," he said.

Wagner will sing the Radiohead track 'Creep' as one of his tracks on Saturday night.

Who gave Wagner the yesses at audition?
Who put him through at bootcamp?
Who put him through as a wildcard?

NOT the public.

Simon Cowell has claimed that Wagner Carrilho's continuing presence on the X Factor was turning the programme into a joke.

The SyCo boss said that he was pleased the Brazilian singer left last night, claiming that it would have been to the detriment of the programme if he had reached the final stages.

During the live show, Cowell referred to internet campaigners, who had managed to help Carrilho progress to sixth spot in the series. The reality TV judge said that the supporters of the 54-year-old Dudley singer were not voting for the right reasons.

Speaking to Dermot O'Leary, Cowell said: "Why I am happy is because there were people
out there trying to derail this show for different reasons. What has happened tonight is that we've put this show back in the hands of the public."

Later on The Xtra Factor, he added: "It's right that people like Wagner are in the competition. But it can't end up at the latter stages of the show as a joke.

"At the end of the day, these contestants, who have reached the finale stages, entered this competition because they needed a break. It's not about us, it's about them."
Report GeorgeBrush November 29, 2010 12:39 PM GMT
I wouldn't be entirely surprised if a few phone lines were accidentally ignored yesterday. It's not as though most of the public were expecting him to sail through
Report George Bailey November 29, 2010 12:52 PM GMT
For the "detriment to the show" read "detriment to Cowell's bank balance in Americak with XF launch there". Good to see we had the greedy manipulating pr*ck worried for a while there. Control freaks who think they are losing control start to go a bit panicky.

What he did to Wagner was used the biggest of sledge hammers to crack the smallest of nuts. He only had to read this forum to know Wagner could never win. Shows how rattled the RATM movement had him last year.

This series has sone nothing for Cowell's or Biffa's reputation I'm glad to say.
Report GeorgeBrush November 29, 2010 12:55 PM GMT

X Factor bosses reportedly blocked Wagner Carrilho from taking part in interviews following his exit from the show on Sunday night.

The 54-year-old was due to appear alongside fellow evictee Katie Waissel on various shows including Daybreak, Lorraine and This Morning.

However, The Mirror reports that while Waissel appeared as scheduled, Carrilho did not appear over fears that his comments could damage the show.

"Wagner was banned from speaking to the other contestants on Sunday and yesterday they turned down dozens of media requests because they were worried what he might say," an insider told the paper.

"Wagner could say anything at any time so it looked like an accident waiting to happen. They spent the day giving him advice so that when he does speak he won't damage the show's image."

They added: "He was effectively gagged. No other contestant had this treatment this series."

He was allegedly removed from the hotel he had been staying in during the night and taken to a secret location.

Writing on Twitter, Lorraine Kelly commented: "Wagner couldn't be here due to reasons beyond our control."

The Brazilian singer did however speak to the show's official magazine X.

This'll cheer him up tho Plain

Katie Waissel's grandmother has said that former X Factor contestant Wagner Carrilho can 'pay her a visit' anytime.

Sheila Vogel-Coupe, whose secret life as a prostitute was exposed earlier this month, expressed her affection for Carrilho but admitted that the Brazilian was not her favourite contestant.

"I usually like younger men but I would be happy if Wagner paid me a visit," she told New magazine. "My favourite singer is Rebecca, but I love Wagner for all-round entertainment."

The 81-year old went on to say that she still does not know if her family will ever forgive her for leading a double life.

"It's very difficult to answer that," she confessed. "It's still very raw and I understand it was a shock. I'd like to think they can come into this century and become more liberal.

"If they're not going to accept me for what I am, I'm not going to say sorry."
