I've emailed Betfair that according to a good source, othh, that the procedure tonight is:

1st Elimination will be lowest votes.
2nd Elimination will be 2nd and third lowest votes, with sing off and judges selections (normal procedure).

Asked them to clarify if the market will therefore be settled, and if so, to get the 2nd elimination up.

Can a few others email in too please, they tend to do things when you knock a few times!

At the start of the scheduled live elimination show this market will be turned in-play with unmatched bets cancelled. The market will be suspended when voting lines close and re-opened with unmatched bets cancelled when the acts participating in the ‘final showdown’ have been declared. The market will then be suspended when the elimination is announced. Customers are entirely responsible for their positions at all times. If there is an announcement of any change to the established elimination procedure or any ambiguity as to who is voted off, then Betfair reserves the right to void this market at its absolute discretion. Subsequent events would NOT affect the result of this market.

No response as of yet, they should make an announcement imho, on here, as to whether or not they will void. As elimination on lowest votes straight off the bat isn't the normal procedure.

would be a good idea.
even an evicted on tonights show market would be better

They know it's a double, they'r now pretty sure of the procedure, should now just clarify the position. If a few more email in, they will.

Shirley Betfair deal with the producers directly and have a good idea of what will happen.

very important, this. will email. will be sick if they void

You got a good book? I want to get involved but not putting myself through the emotional rollercoaster if they're voiding.

They're 95% sure on the procedure, and even if they're not, they can at least take 2 mins to clarify what they'd do under said procedure. Shambolic not to have got back to us.

agreed angela. yeah my book is really good imo. i'm covered on any other and i am a big winner on john, katie, niccolo and storm, the last one wont be eliminated btw. not green on the two bands but i think belle amie will be ok, just not sure on fyd so will cover myself accordingly

"We will be offering a second elimination market later this evening if things go as expected. Given the uncertainty we have no plans to offer any other markets."

Don't really understand why they don't want to put up some more markets... I mean how cut and dry is a "To be eliminated tonight" Market ffs????!!!
Report stringerbell October 10, 2010 4:12 PM BST
does this mean the first one is void?

Right, is everyone agreed that lowest votes will go instantly, then we have a sing off between 2nd and 3rd bottom?

If that does happen, will the bet ive put on the first eviction market be void?

I put my bet on AFTER we heard that 2 would be eliminated and therefore i bet soley on who i thought would get the least votes.

I would be gutted to 'win' only to have the bet voided.

Can anyone clear up my confusion please?

For me the main debate tonight is whether Wagner comes bottom of the vote or not (and so gets evicted first).

I beleive that there would be a good volume of two way trading on whether Wagner is first out or not and I

would be interested in having a good bet on this point mayself.

However, as the Betfair markets stand you cannot bet on this eventuality - a wasted opportunity imo.

They have to play it this way until they have concrete evidence of the procedure, it may or may not be voided though [:p]

1st Elim VOID
2nd Elim FINE

imho
Report Angela Rebecchi October 10, 2010 7:57 PM BST
Finally an answer, but worded bizarelly, but no VOID.

As long as a first elimination is announced and one of the four wildcards who came in yesterday (who come under Any Other’) goes out then the market will be settled as expected.
