If there is an announcement of any change to the established elimination procedure or any ambiguity as to who is voted off, then Betfair reserves the right to void this market at its absolute discretion. Subsequent events would NOT affect the result of this market.

From above, under what circumstances would you think they would be voided.

It says above that the market will be re-opened for the final showdown performance. Are they suggesting that if under the circumstances that the act in the bottom is automatically eliminated and then the 2nd and 3rd from bottom have a final showdown and judges pick next act to go. Would this mean since the first act was automatically elminated without judges input, this is a change of proceedure and it will be voided?

I'm confused about this market now that the process has changed, I understand 2 acts will be eliminated tonight. So is the market just for the 1st of those to go, or are we betting on the 2 who are to be eliminated?
Report Benjy October 10, 2010 12:34 PM BST
The first to go and they shouldn't void the market. I'm in a pretty poor position in it as well, so not even biased.

so if i bet on any otherr and say john goes out first then any other goess out second i lose?
Report Angela Rebecchi October 10, 2010 1:05 PM BST
Yup. Any other looks quite a bit too short for me but not bothering as seen Betfair void it before etc.
Report Goldie08 October 10, 2010 1:19 PM BST
But surely this is a change to normal proceddure?

I am happy with where i stand but worried incase all bets are voided :(

Just thinking here, can someone please explain what normal proceedure is?

Public Vote
Bottom 2 are in a showdown
They sing
Judges vote, (if tie deadlock)

Now its public vote and then what? ....

Bottom 3 are in a stand off and then judges vote to save?
Act bottom leaves then 2 face a stand off?
Bottom 2 in public vote are eliminted?

What other options are there. All i can think of are a change to normal procedure.
Report Angela Rebecchi October 10, 2010 1:29 PM BST
1st Elmination is lowest votes, then 2nd and 3rd lowest goes to normal procedure.

I've no idea what they'll do, but it will be patently obvious who is the 1st and 2nd eliminated.

They should add a 2nd Elimination market, I have emailed, someone else should too.
Report Goldie08 October 10, 2010 1:31 PM BST
They should offer, will be eliminated tonight, market. For both acts that go!

And they should clarify what exactly the deem as a normal proceedure.
Report andyg303 October 10, 2010 1:33 PM BST
I will email AR as would like a "1st or 2nd" market like some of the bookies have got on the odds checking site, will ask for a 2nd elim too. What is the best email address to ask?

If they void Elim 1 market, they shouldn't Elim 2 as it will be the usual procedure. Suspect they might just thrash that market up last minute.
Report Goldie08 October 10, 2010 1:39 PM BST
AR, if they void the first they have to void the second as they are related and not normal proceedure.

They should do "To be Eliminated market" that covers every scenario for 1st and 2nd.

Cheers, email sent. I am desperate to lay Wagner to go as he is odds on with all of the books, but can't decide on who it will be instead so a lay is easiest option!
Report Angela Rebecchi October 10, 2010 1:51 PM BST
Ha, yeah, hope he stays too, loving the bongos!
Report andyg303 October 10, 2010 4:12 PM BST
Just realised B3 65 are doing yes/no elimination markets... Wagner 13/8 to stay is good enough for me!
Report Platini October 10, 2010 4:23 PM BST
that would be an amazing bet if it was "to be evicted 1st", but
it's clearly not :-(

Any other camels offering a straight yes/no on 1st eviction ?
Report als boy October 10, 2010 5:02 PM BST
maybe they,ll use dead heat odds on both eliminated as first out
Report andyg303 October 10, 2010 5:45 PM BST
No I know, still think its a good bet though, I think he will get enough "comedy" votes to keep out of the bottom three. Als - can't see them doing that, if he goes 1st or 2nd the bet is a loser. I can't wait to find out now!!!!
