The X Factor's first live show of 2010 was paramount in ITV's domination of primetime last night, early viewing figures show.
Wild Card Week. was seen by an average of 12.23m (48.5%) between 7.40pm and 10.10pm, peaking at 13.49m (51.7%) between 9.15pm and 9.30pm. The X Factor was up 530k on last Saturday.

Sunday's ratings were dominated by the first eliminations in Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One and The X Factor on ITV1. According to overnight ratings the first Strictly Come Dancing results show, which saw Goldie leave the competition, was seen by 9 million viewers between 7.30 and 8pm. Over on ITV1 between 8pm and 9pm the first X Factor results show of 2010 topped 12 million viewers. The first acts to be booted off, via the live shows, this year were F.Y.D and Nicolo Festa with the judges opting to save Katie Waissel - much to the dismay of some fans. I saw that they hadnt paid out on Tuesday and was started to get a bit worried they would pull a 'we meant Saturday and Sunday combined' lol, but its all good.

Yeah it was one of those, seemed too good to be true, I mean, last year's final didn't even reach 20 at any point. No idea why it lasted more than a day but as soon as you were on, it was cut!

The show, which featured the exits of Storm Lee and Diva Fever, averaged 12.59m (43.8%) on ITV1 in the 8pm hour and 825k (2.9%) on ITV1 HD.
