does gamu definitely not make the final 12

Yeah; if Simon is news managing in order to wip up interest in next Weekends shows then he is a genius. Nothing definately new from the press for a weeek or so. Wonder if he is threatening to sue any newspaper who says anything.

As I said before The Mirror, The Star and the Record appear to have  interviewed Gamu recently infact the record  published this yesterday. Its certainly way after the judges houses results where finalised. In the press articles Gamu  is giving no hint she is off the show. She is saying things like;

"The fact is we have temporary residency to remain in the UK but my mother has to renew the application every few years and it had come to the point where it needed to be renewed.

"Our visa was coming up for renewal. We hadn't been turned down.

"The immigration officials give updates and they said everything is going through and it should be done within three weeks."

No indication she is off the show. Of course the press could be releasing statements that are weeks old and making them sound current. Its all wierd and confusing.

There are plenty of rumours that she is out but no-one substanciates them and they never give a source. In fact people are now not even saying its to do with a visa they are saying that Cheryl  simply does not think Gamu is good enough.

All I have got to say is; Badblokes do not want your money. Why not? if its a cert she looses; and believe me Baddies know.

On the other hand when I have felt confident in matters like this before I have always been wrong. So I am anticipating the worst.

thanks melv, very interesting indeed. from an emotional perspective i think that she is far and away the best artist in the show; from a financial perspective i have backed the boyband as i am absolutely that these 5 good looking kids, with simon's support, will be there until right at the end. surely surely cheryl cant pick katie wassell over gamu, as is being reported.....that would be utterly moronic

and interesting point on ladbrokes - they may simply be saying that they rate her and ignoring all the speculation. on the other hand, they ma have inside info. hope its the latter

last year they were the first to quote only the final 12 acts thus they must have known who these 12 were,
cant see how they would lose their 'contact' so why are they so short?

poss explanations,
1) she was told she would be in the live finals IF she got paperwork sorted
but rather than wait for the 'if' they picked 3 girls and would make this category 4 acts
if gamu indeed satisfied re paperwork, which she may have done very recently hence the drift cos
she originally was not in the top 3 girls and the back cos she now is in the live finals
2) wildcard(s) will be voted in by public - possible but not likely given show schedules
3) she was always in and all spoilers have got it wrong - not likely
4) bookies creating false blues -- not likely

given that so many spoilers have cher/katie w/rebecca making it
then scenario 1 may be plausible

interesting mate. i think its unlikely the spoilers are wrong but i would be very surprised if simon did not see the appeal of gamu and maybe they are creating an intersting storyline around her - whether its the visa thing or whether she is going to be voted in as a wildcard. some of the speculation has been around this wildcard thing - show schedules dont have to be a problem, they just get rid of two one  night. i would be very surprised and a bit sad if she is not in the finals
