There are no facts but some reports have more substance than others.

Because the Sun, the Express, the Scottish daily record, AHN and Scottish TV all report the following we can consider it to be relatively reliable that ;

(A) Gamu is through to the judges house.
(B) She is up for deportation on Thursday.

On here on the other hand  it is rumoured on here that Cher, Katie and one other are through.

So lets put the two together.  Gamu is the one other and Gamu is through to the live shows if she doesn’t get deported. Some might find this hilarious. I on the other hand think we could get some true soul  singing from this 18 year old. An antidote to our  dumbed down, mean minded, greedy culture.

Her singing is too good for a talent show and her story is too real for the sensationalist shallows of Simons so called “journeys”.

I could be said that Xfactor is a cheap and tasteles irrelevance compared with what else Gamu and her family  are going through. But is it? Many great singers have turned trajic life stories into a gift to all through a singing career.

Someone on DS even suggesting that she's missed out for now but will be saved in the wildcard process

Guesswork prolly
Report sick of food September 14, 2010 11:57 PM BST
No chance of there being a wildcard process, any idea how much planning a tv show takes? And how could Gamu have missed out if that judges house hasn't happened yet?
Report GeorgeBrush September 14, 2010 11:59 PM BST
Perhaps they could go back in time and start planning it [;)]

The Judges houses were last weekend by some accounts

By some accounts, not by others. Who to believe?
Report Topper Robson September 15, 2010 12:31 AM BST
The judges houses were filmed over 4 consequtive weeks on Mondays and Tuesdays Louis 1st followed by Simon then Danni then Cheryl who finished yesterday. So spoilers should be accurate from tomorrow hopefully.
Report melv September 15, 2010 5:34 AM BST
So Gamu faced Cheryl yesterday and faces deportation tommorrow. You could not make it up. But I suspect Simon has.

I really hope she makes it so i can lay the living daylights out of her melv. Devoid of personality and autotuned to death

The standard is really shocking this year

Just watched Katie Weasel

Maybe Gamu has a chance after all Shocked

What a shame Cowell isn't facing deportation

Yes, and what's worse there are literally billions like her all over the 3rd world that we should be caring for. Why can't we let them all come to England? It's not fair just to let Gamu stay on her own. We have a decent welfare system and we should be kind enough to give everybody the benefit of it.

(No offence melv Love I've just read the last few posts of a Jade worship thread and am protesting all the competitive altruism).
Report melv September 16, 2010 10:29 AM BST
No offence Henry but you don't think that we have millions of immigrants here out of altruism do you?

Frankly its easier to get immigrants to do the cheap nasty dirty and personal jobs than make the great white anglo saxons do them for themselves. Thats why if immgrants where not doing the skivvying, the night work, the @rse wiping, the washing up, the cleaning, the caring when you are ill, and the looking after you when you are sick then they would not get done. It also comes in at the other end of the scale when we need, doctors surgeons IT experts and other brainy people it also proves surpringlly difficult to find them among the brillant superior anglo saxons. What a mystery.

I am not saying flood the country with darkies I am just saying its a very complex thing and not logical to say simply send em all home.

I will end on a controversial note though. Once they are here all human beings should be treated equally.

Nice sentiment but if you look at history (which the modern age discourages) this always ends in tragedy.

Should read "the looking after you when you are old."

Surprising home many people are prepared to have immigrants look after their parents this rather than do it themselves. I wonder how many of the above spend anytime defending immigrants aginst the send em home brigade?

People have always voted in polls overwhelmingly against immigration since the 50's. In all of the honest polls it's been over 80%.

Democracy?

(I've nothing against the immigrants as individuals, I personally lived mostly in London and enjoyed meeting. I'm also a big traveller. It's the politicians.)

Fair enough Henry.

This year seems extreme in how these very average acts are being overrated

We're approaching the bottom of the talent barrel

News mismanagement 1. She was never up for deportation.

"Our visas were coming up for renewal, they hadn't been turned down. They said everything is going through and it should be done within three weeks.
I have lost a lot of fans over this."

Says Gamu. In the Mirror.

News mismanagement 2. What is the Mirror doing interviewing Gamu at this stage. If she did not make the final 12 this is totally misleading. For a start she has lost a lot more; fans, music career and cash if she is off the show.
