Some quotes from Didis 'expert view'. And remember that this was written BEFORE Marco Reus got injured.
ARGENTINA CAN RULE THE WORLD BUT FORGET ABOUT THE GERMANS "We all kNOW the cliche you can never write off the Germans. Well Im going to. Germany will NOT win the world cup. In fact I doubt they'll even make the semi finals" "Now Joachim Low is in charge of a squad that isnt a patch on the one he took to Poland and Ukraine two years ago and Id be amazed if they got past the quarter finals" "Low has only one recognised forward in Miroslav Klose who turns 36 next week. That means that Thomas Muller will probably play up top" "Mesut Ozil probably wont get in the starting XI. Lows squad is lacking depth without the Bender brothers and Ilkay Gundogan. Its not far off desperate" Recommended bets: Argentina to win the World Cup 9-2 (cant wait to see what he tips if they meet Germany) France top European (doh! beaten by a 'desperate' Germany 9-1 Benzema top scorer 33-1 Gerrard top England scorer 11-1 Italy not to qualify at 2-1 (yeahhhhh !!) Germany under 6.5 group goals at 8-11 |

I think one Racing Post football "expert" also went for Fred to be top Goalscorer in the tournament!!

The bets put up by the RP are embarassing almost beyond belief. How so many people can get it so wrong is quite staggering for a betting publication

But it's amazing the amount of fools who hang on to their every word.
By:
simply lay the so called experts views.
By:
Unbelievably, in Today's RP he goes for Germany, stating that "I was absolutely convinced Germany would be too good for Brazil in the semis and my conviction is just as strong that they will have too much for Argentina in the World Cup Final" - A quite staggering u-turn and no mention of his earlier prediction!

eveyone entitled to change their mind as tournament evolves. In fact it would be unbelievable/staggering if you didn't use the emerging evidence to update you opinion.
By:
Of course opinions change during a tournament Ozymandius, I agree with you. But most of us would surely have the grace to admit that their initial prediction was wide of the mark, and admit to eating a slice of humble pie wouldn't we?

I do chuckle at his comments as yet another ordinary German team somehow exceed expectations .....world class punditry

saw an interview with on LTV about a month b4 tournament. He was so convinced the germans couldn't win, it made go in hard on spain to be top european team. my alternate main bet was ivory coat to qualify so it looks like he didn't have much effect
