changing nature of international football: gone from exiciting players and teams playing fast flowing attacking football to the total garbage we seem to always get nowadays. what happened to all the quality players to light up matches and tournaments?

on another point england must be really sh1t if they can't get to the business end of these major tournaments with the dire teams around these days. i really have not been impressed by any of them.

yomo , I agree with most of what you say but eng may get to the business end next euros , the may also fail to get out of the group stage again as thers nowt between the lot of them. England ae no better or worse than most of the teams.they could have won or lost all 3 of their games at this world cup.before the tourney stated lke most others I doubted wed do great but having seen them fail o qualify I now think that they can (granted luck in pen shoot outs) do better in the euros.all of the suriving 4 semi finalists could have gone out very easily. brazil without the help of the refs could well be gone , the argies have managed nothing more han single goal wins, the dutch hac to go to pens to beat costa and the krauts  failed to beat algerria in 90 mins.asi said theres feck all between 20 or more teams.

After the last World Cup it was obvious that International football,as we once knew it,would never be as good anymore.Club wages are massive now,all the effort appears now to be with club football.Whether it be the Euros,or the World Cup,it comes at the end of a long season for most top players,playing in the Europa League and Champions League plus domestic Cups..Many players look "burnt out" after their League campaigns.
Yes,they earn fortunes,some way too much,but that still doesn't stop you from getting "burnt out".Witness so many poor performances from players we all know can do much better.
