tie for group winner

If everything is tied (Points, Goal Dif, Goals Scored, Goals Conceeded) and the result between the two teams in question ended in a draw, then FIFA draw lots to decide who has topped the group, so I would assume this is what would be used to settle the group winner market.

cheers Ted .thank you very much for coming back...new this was different as you "must" have a winner and i couldn't find solution....had a small win,Costa  for group @60/1, tipped on here "news and tips" before start of tournament..have laid off ,but thought if Costa loose and Italy orUraguay win could end up with excact tie...

Costa Rica would top the group on the head to head record if everything is tied with Italy or Uruguay, as they have beaten both teams

The only group where there is a realistic prospect of a tie and a coin flip is Iran and Nigeria.  There are extremely faint prospects in groups E and G.

The only times I can recall lots being used was Ireland and the Netherlands in 1990, and I think it was Denmark's women's team in last years' Uefa tourney

Argentina and Nigeria will surely play out a draw to avoid that situation amyway?

Group G is unlikely too, given that Germany and Germany B (USA) will also likely play out a draw. If Ghana win 3-0 and USA win 2-0, then lots will have to be drawn for second place (Ghana and Germany)
