This is the most open World Cup I've ever seen. The hosts are a decent side but no way are they a shoe in. They had a really hard game against Chile and that will take it's toll. They just scraped through by the skin of their teeth. I honestly believe any one of eight teams could win it. I think the days of the usual suspects always winning the World Cup are over. Italy and Spain KO'd 1st round. Argentina look vulnerable. Brazil are no world beaters. It's the changing of the guard. The days of Italy, Germany and Brazil dominating are over.

im a brazil backer, agree with above wide open, all sides remaining have weaknesses , just think brazil will get the luck when its required most.

it is wide open, history says south america,im plumping for the argies,but be prepared for close games and penalty shoot outs as things get serious.

It won't be Argentina or Brazil. Neither have a defence that will stand up to Germany or Holland. Piss my sides at Brazil's defence last night. |
