Please tell me what position does he does play well in for England?. 39 goals against inferior opposition and as soon as the big teams come along he's garbage. The last Two World cups and the last Euros tell us that. Drop him once and for all. As for not playing on the left utter poppycock. I know we must placate him or he will throw his dummy out the pram but I think people must start to realise now HE IS NOT WORLD CLASS OR GOOD ENOUGH.

For once I feel sorry for him. He can't play where he is being asked to play. What Roy is trying to do is accommodate all those players up front. Welbeck does a good job for me so why not have him and Sterling on each wing and Rooney playing behind Sturride if he insists in playing Rooney otherwise take him off. But I don't see any England manager having the bottle not to start with Rooney in the team.
