Please tell me what position does he does play well in for England?. 39 goals against inferior opposition and as soon as the big teams come along he's garbage. The last Two World cups and the last Euros tell us that. Drop him once and for all. As for not playing on the left utter poppycock. I know we must placate him or he will throw his dummy out the pram but I think people must start to realise now HE IS NOT WORLD CLASS OR GOOD ENOUGH.

For once I feel sorry for him. He can't play where he is being asked to play. What Roy is trying to do is accommodate all those players up front. Welbeck does a good job for me so why not have him and Sterling on each wing and Rooney playing behind Sturride if he insists in playing Rooney otherwise take him off. But I don't see any England manager having the bottle not to start with Rooney in the team.

It was evident very early in the match that the Italian game was interfering with Waynes holiday plans. I was not as disappointed as previous defeats as there was a lot to like about the youngsters, England played well but unfortunately we did not field eleven men. Rooney and Gerrard need a rest, they need to be re-focused, the team is quite capable without the pair of them. 'Cashpoint fatigue', Rooney and Gerrard - too much money, no passion, no drive, poor attitude, both in awe of the energy and passion shown by their teammates. Every ones wants to win a world cup medal Wayne, the point being you have to WIN it, - Rooney is so out of sorts he will probably get sent off again as his failings are further exposed if hodgson persists with him, you'd have no faith of him even scoring a penalty so he is of no use - goodbye. |
